Special Issue to Celebrate Ted Oyama's George A. Olah Award


This special edition commemorates the distinguished recognition of S. Ted Oyama as the recipient of the 2023 George A. Olah Award in Hydrocarbon or Petroleum Chemistry, honoring his exceptional contributions to the field. In a world of rising energy and chemical demands, catalysis plays a crucial role in enhancing production efficiency, converting renewable energy, and reducing environmental impact. This issue welcomes contributions in the realm of heterogeneous catalysis applied to sustainable chemical processes, with emphasis on in situ and operando structural characterization of catalysts in their active states, elucidating kinetics, delineating structure-activity relationships, reaction mechanisms, and refining reaction engineering techniques.
