Supercritical Fluid Cycles for Comprehensive Energy Systems


As an emerging technology, supercritical cycles for energy conversion/storage, carbon capture utilization systems (CCUS) and environmental and chemical applications will require collaborative efforts between academia and industry for their realization. Such efforts include breakthroughs in fundamental principles, new concepts, key equipment and demonstrations, through pioneering trials and applications in advanced supercritical carbon dioxide cycle.This special issue welcomes full-paper regular research articles from participants in the 2024 International Conference on Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Power Cycle and Comprehensive Energy Systems (ICSPC2024) that was held in the city of Shanghai on September 20-24, 2024. ICSPC2024 covered topics ranging from fundamental supercritical thermophysical properties, thermodynamics, heat transfer, turbomachinery, key components R&D and system integration and control optimization and is considered to be one of the major contributions to the supercritical fluid research community and to industrial technology development.
