Special issue information:
The annual 2024 Society for the Advancement of Material Process Engineering (SAMPE) Conference was held in Long Beach, California from May 20-24, 2024. The Society for the Advancement of Material Process Engineering (SAMPE), established in 1944, is an international technical society that provides a global forum for information, education, and professional fellowship on materials and process development. Over 130 articles were presented at SAMPE Long Beach on topics focused on composite material processing ranging from additive and advanced manufacturing of composites; design, analysis and simulation; emerging and extreme materials and their applications; thermoplastic composites and processes; and recycling and sustainability. This issue is composed of articles invited by the guest editors from among these articles presented SAMPE Long Beach for submission because of their alignment with readership interests and the scope of Composites Part B: Engineering. All submissions will be edited to the same exacting standards of the journal including three reviews.
