大家好，我们来自北师珠附外初三一班，很高兴能在这和大家见面，我叫乐玥，我叫乐星。今天，将由我们为大家分享一些有趣的地道英语表达，希望大家喜欢。
Hello, everyone! We are from Class One, Grade Nine in FLS, it’s such an honour to be here. I am Heidi and I am Helen. Today, we are going to share some interesting slang to you and hope you enjoy it.
乐玥：Helen, you look so angry! What happened?
乐玥：乐星，你看着好生气呢，是谁惹你了呀？
乐星：Well, Heidi, you know, we queued up at the dining hall yesterday, and Annie wanted to jump a queue. I thought it’s unfair so I said no. To my surprise, she went on her own way and said something bad to me!
乐星：哎，昨天我们在饭堂排队就餐的时候，安妮想插队。我觉得这不公平，就拒绝了她的要求。好家伙！她完全不听并且还骂了我。
乐玥：Oh, it’s bad! But don’t go banana, maybe you should talk to her.
乐玥：这真糟糕！但是don’t go banana，或许你应该和她好好谈谈。
乐星：Go banana?
乐星：去香蕉？
乐玥：Haha, well, my dear, it’s slang. It means: don’t be angry. You know there’s some interesting slang in English. Let me show you.
（展示图片且提问You are a peach!）Do you know what it means?
乐玥：哈哈，亲爱的，这是俚语，意思是：别生气。其实在英语里，有许多有趣的俚语，例如下面这个（展示且提问），你知道You are a peach!是什么意思吗？
乐星：Oh, I know! It’s easy! It must means: I like a peach.
乐星：我知道！这也太简单了吧！意思是：我像一个桃子。
乐玥：Haha, it’s a funny guess. Actually it means you have done a good job.
乐玥：哈哈，你的猜想很有趣呀。事实上，它的意思是：你真棒！
乐星：Wow, it’s fun! One more please.
乐星：哇，这也太有趣了吧！再来一个嘛。
乐玥：How about “sour grapes”?
乐玥：那 “sour grapes”呢？
乐星：Uhh... maybe it means the grapes are not sweet.
乐星：额，是不是葡萄很酸的意思？
乐玥：Well, it means to react badly if you hear the good news that happened to somebody else. Other slang like “apples and oranges” is used to describe something different and incomparable.
乐玥：它的意思是：听到别人有好事发生就酸别人。另外好像 “apples and oranges” 则是表达两个迥然不同、无法比较的事物。
乐星：Wow, it’s so interesting! And it seems like we can’t guess the meaning just based on the words. My dear friends, do you know any slang? We’re looking forward to your sharing.
