Hello everyone, I’m Vanessa from class 3 grade 6 of FLS. I like singing .
V：你在做什么？
V：What are you doing?
D：你看，牙签放入水中立马就倒了。
D：Look,I put the toothpick into the water and it falls down.
V：对啊，肯定啊。
V：Yes of course.
D：但是，我有方法让它在水中立起来，你信吗？
D：But,I can make it stand in the water. Can you believe it?
V：真的吗？不可能。
V：Really? That’s impossible.
D：好吧，让我给你变个魔法吧！
D：Well,let me show you a magic!
V：让我来看看
V：I will wait and see
D：首先，在水中滴入洗洁精，搅拌出丰富的泡沫，再次将牙签放进去，它就立马站起来了。
D：First，Add detergent into the water, stir to rich foam, then put the toothpick into the water, and it can stand.
V：真神奇，这是什么原理呢？
V：Amazing! How did it happen?
D：水里加入泡沫，水表面张力被破坏，打出泡沫后，厚厚的泡沫将牙签挤住，牙签就立起来了。
D：The surface tension of the water is destroyed by foam.The toothpick is squeezed by the thick foam, that’s why it can stand up.
V：太有趣了，那我也给你变个魔术吧，我能把纸巾放水里，但是纸巾不会湿。
V：Wow that’s interesting, let me show you a magic too. I can put tissue in water, but they don't get wet.
D：快展示给我看看。
D：Oh really,show me
V：你看，我将纸巾放进一个杯子里，倒扣放进水中，再拿起来，纸巾还是干的。
V：Look, I put the tissue into a cup, put it into the water upside down, and then picked it up, see，it is still dry.
D：为什么呢？
D：Why?
V：因为杯子中除了纸巾之外还充满了空气，当杯子浸入水中，杯中的空气就排开了水。从而使杯子中的纸不被打湿。
V：Because the cup is filled with air , when the cup is put into the water, the air displaces the water. So the tissue does not get wet.
D：果然生活中处处有惊喜
D：Life is full of surprises
V：是的，这就是科学的魔力
