大家好，我们来自北师大附外八年级一班。诗歌是文学殿堂里璀璨的明珠,今天我们给大家分享一首诗歌——做最好的自己。
Hello, everyone! We are in Class1 , Grade 8 from FLS. Poetry is a bright pearl in the hall of literature. Today we’re going to share a poetry——Be the Best of Whatever You Are.
If you can't be a pine on the top of the hill,
如果你不能成为山顶的一棵松
Be a scrub in the valley - but be
就做一丛小树生长在山谷中
The best little scrub by the side of the rill;
但须是溪边最好的一小丛
Be a bush if you can't be a tree.
如果你不能成为一棵大树，就做灌木一丛
If you can't be a bush be a bit of the grass,
如果你不能成为一丛灌木，就做一片绿草
And some highway happier make;
让公路也有几分欢娱
If you can't be a muskie then just be a bass,
如果你不能成为一条狗鱼，就做一条鲈鱼
But the liveliest bass in the lake !
但须做湖里最好的一条鱼!
We can't all be captains,we've got to be crew,
我们不可能都做船长，必须要有人做船员
There's something for all of us here,
总会有适合我们做的一些事情
There's big work to do,and there's lesser to do,
工作有大的，也有小的
And the task you must do is the near.
我们要做的就是眼前的事
If you can't be a highway then just be a trail,
如果你不能做一条公路，就做一条小径
If you can't be the sun be a star;
如果你成不了太阳，那就做一颗星星
It isn't by size that you win or you fail
成功还是失败 并不取决于你所做事情的大小
Be the best of whatever you are!
