在为PGSA研究生会构思吉祥物时选择白天鹅作为形象主体蕴含着多层深刻且富有创意的内涵。
一、聪慧与学术追求的象征
天鹅在人们的认知中一直是高贵且聪明的生物。这与研究生群体的特质完美契合。研究生们在知识的海洋中不断探索、钻研，凭借智慧攻克一道道学术难题。白天鹅的聪明形象恰如研究生们在学术领域展现出的敏锐思维和卓越智慧，他们以聪慧为桨在学术的海洋中破浪前行。
二、学校元素的巧妙融合
诺丁汉大学标志性的诺丁蓝被运用到吉祥物的设计中。这一主色系的融入使得吉祥物与学校紧密相连。诺丁蓝如同一条纽带将“诺丁鹅”与诺丁汉大学的校园文化、历史传承以及学术氛围系于一体。当人们看到这一抹熟悉的蓝色便能瞬间联想到学校的一草一木、一砖一瓦，回忆起在校园中度过的美好时光，感受到学校深厚的文化底蕴。同时这一颜色的运用也增强了吉祥物的辨识度和独特性，使其成为学校特色的生动代言。
三、学术气质的直观呈现
在研究生的学术生涯里，文献阅读是基石是通向知识殿堂的必经之路。因此让“诺丁鹅”手持书卷这一设计细节极具匠心。书卷在手中不仅直观地展现了研究生们日常的学习状态，更凸显了他们对知识的渴望与追求。这一形象仿佛在无声地诉说着一个个在图书馆中挑灯夜战、在研究室里埋头苦读的故事，让人们看到了研究生群体严谨的治学态度和浓厚的学术气质。“诺丁鹅”不仅仅是一个简单的吉祥物形象，它是研究生聪慧形象的化身，是学校文化的承载者，更是研究生学术气质的直观表达。它将以独特的魅力凝聚研究生群体的力量，传递学校的精神，成为校园文化中一道亮丽的风景线。

The choice of the white swan as the image subject in the design of the mascot for the PGSA Graduate Student Association has multiple profound and creative connotations.

1.A symbol of intelligence and academic pursuit

Swans have long been known as noble and intelligent creatures. This fits perfectly with the characteristics of the graduate student community. In the ocean of knowledge, graduate students continue to explore and study, and overcome academic problems with wisdom. The intelligent image of the white swan is just like the keen thinking and excellent wisdom shown by the graduate students in the academic field, they use the wisdom as the paddle to break the waves in the academic ocean.

2.Wonderful integration with school elements

Nottingham University's iconic Nordin blue was used in the design of the mascot. The inclusion of this dominant color system makes the mascot closely associated with the school. Nordin Blue is a link linking Nordin Goose to the University of Nottingham's campus culture, historical heritage and academic atmosphere. When people see this familiar blue, they can instantly associate the school with every tree, brick and tile, recall the good times spent on the campus, and feel the profound cultural heritage of the school. At the same time, the use of this color also enhances the identification and uniqueness of the mascot, making it a vivid endorsement of the school's character.

3.Intuitive presentation of academic temperament

In the academic career of graduate students, literature reading is the cornerstone and the only way to the temple of knowledge. Therefore, the design detail of the "Nording goose" holding the scroll is very ingenious. The scroll in the hand not only intuitively shows the daily learning state of graduate students, but also highlights their desire and pursuit of knowledge. This image seems to tell the story of staying up all night in the library and studying hard in the research room silently, which makes people see the rigorous academic attitude and strong academic temperament of the graduate students. "Nording Goose" is not only a simple mascot image, it is the embodiment of graduate students intelligent image, the carrier of school culture, but also the intuitive expression of graduate students academic temperament. It will condense the strength of graduate students with its unique charm, pass on the spirit of the school, and become a beautiful landscape in campus culture.

胖乎乎的身子让吉祥物看起来十分亲切可爱。

黑框眼镜、黑色背包和蓝白的帽子象征学生生活和探索精神。

帽子上的研究生会标志和胸前的名牌象征着研究生联合会的成员身份。

身穿西装是因为西装是正式场合的服饰，可以表现pgsa的专业感。

I think the PGSA Owl symbolizes wisdom and knowledge, which is suitable for the academic atmosphere of the Postgraduate Student Association. The chubby body looks very friendly and cute. Black-rimmed glasses, a black backpack and a blue-and-white hat symbolize student life and the spirit of exploration. The PGSA logo on the cap and the name tag on the chest symbolize membership in the Postgraduate Student Association. The reason why wearing a suit is that suit is a dress for formal occasions, which can show PGSA's professional sense.

吉祥物“PGSA喵”的设计灵感来源于我们校园里那些可爱的流浪猫。这些猫咪们虽然生活在野外，但它们却有着独特的魅力和生命力。它们的坚韧、独立和对自由的追求的特点与PGSA相契合。

在设计上，“PGSA喵”保留了猫咪的一些典型特征，如尖耳朵、圆眼睛和小嘴巴等，使它看起来既可爱又亲切。围脖颜色与宁诺校徽蓝一致，同时有校徽元素，在起到装饰作用的同时更具有辨识度。

蓝色围脖不仅增添了整体的色彩感，还象征着智慧与勇气，寓意着UNNCer在学习和生活中不断探索和创新的精神。

The mascot "PGSA Meow" is inspired by the cute stray cats in our campus. Although these cats live in the wild, they have a unique charm and vitality. Their characteristics of tenacity, independence and pursuit of freedom fit well with PGSA.

In design, PGSA Meow retains some of the typical features of cats, such as pointed ears, round eyes and small mouth, making it look cute and friendly. The color of the collar is consistent with the school emblem blue, and there are school emblem elements, which are more recognizable while playing a decorative role.

Blue collar not only adds to the overall sense of color, but also symbolizes wisdom and courage, which means the spirit of UNNCer's continuous exploration and innovation in study and life.

选择猫咪作为宁波诺丁汉大学研究生联合会（PGSA）吉祥物的设计理念主要基于以下几点原因：

智慧与灵活的象征：猫咪常被赋予聪明、机敏的特质，这与研究生们所追求的学术智慧不谋而合。通过猫咪的形象，可以寓意研究生们在学习和研究中展现出的智慧与灵活性。

可爱与亲和力：猫咪在校园里很常见，其可爱形象具有极高的亲和力，容易让人产生好感。作为吉祥物，猫咪的形象能够拉近研究生联合会与广大师生之间的距离，增强组织的凝聚力和向心力。

活力与朝气的体现：猫咪活泼好动的特点，能够很好地展现出研究生们的活力与朝气。这种积极向上的形象，有助于激发研究生们在学习和生活中保持积极向上的态度。

色彩选择与形象塑造：在色彩上选用了蓝色作为主色调，蓝色代表着宁静、智慧与信任，与吉祥物的可爱形象相得益彰，营造出一种清新、活力的氛围。同时，猫咪的表情、动作以及服饰设计都注重细节与整体的和谐统一，力求展现出研究生们的活力与朝气。

通过一只蓝色猫咪的形象，寓意着智慧与灵活，同时也象征着研究生们的活力与朝气，展现了团队中每个成员的独特魅力和共同追求。

本次的吉祥物我想采用一种生动形象的方式，来展示研究生的特点，而不是一味地堆砌关于大学生的元素。这个形象来源于模仿我们都知道的小鸡，并且从中国传统文化中汲取了勤奋和吉祥的含义。整体上看，它的形象是一个名叫tata的探险家或摄影师，塔塔头上的帽子采用了地球的配色，上面有灯塔和望远镜的元素，代表着作为研究生，我们希望将PGSA作为一个重要的平台，真正体验世界的多样性，注重交流、分享和合作。灵感来自20周年校庆的口号：连接世界，创造未来。塔塔的胸前是一串字母：PGSA，其中的字母P看起来也像一个相机，意思是虽然我们能在UNNC呆的时间比较短，但我们需要珍惜和记录下美好的时刻。此外，挎包的设计是为了适应不同场合的需要，有可能增加、删除和修改各种元素。

In this piece, I want to express the characteristics of postgraduate period in a lively way, rather than just piling on the elements of college students. The image is modeled after the chick we all know, taking the meaning of diligence and auspiciousness from traditional Chinese culture. It is overall more like an explorer or photographer, named Tata. The hat on Tata's head is in the color scheme of the earth, with elements of lighthouses and telescopes on it, representing that as postgraduates, we hope to regard PGSA as a significant platform to truly experience the diversity of the world, focusing on communication, sharing and cooperation, inspired by the slogan of the 20th anniversary celebration: connecting the world, creating the future. On the chest of Tata is a string of letters: PGSA, where the letter P also looks like a camera, meaning that although the time we could stay at UNNC is relatively short, you need to cherish and record the beautiful moments. In addition, the satchel is designed as an adaptation to the needs of different occasions, with the possibility of adding, deleting and modifying a variety of elements.
