The IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering is committed to timely publishing of peer-reviewed technical articles that deal with the theory and applications of network science and the interconnections among the elements in a system that form a network.
In 2022, the number of new submissions to TNSE reached over 1490, a 21% increase compared with 2021. The average turn-around time of a TNSE submission is below 90 days, with an acceptance ratio of 27%.

the Editor-in-Chief, IEEE TNSE
Prof. Jianwei Huang has been the Editor-in-Chief, IEEE TNSE since January 2021. He is a President's Chair Professor and Associate Vice President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Associate Director of the Shenzhen Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Society. He is an IEEE Fellow, AAIA Fellow, Distinguished Professor of Cheung Kong Scholars Programme, Guangdong Pearl River Technology Leading Talent, Shenzhen Pengcheng Distinguished Professor, Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Communication Society, Clarivate Analytics Global Highly Cited Scientist in Computer Science, and Elsevier Most Cited Chinese Researcher.
Prof. Huang has published more than 300 papers in world-class journals and conferences in the field of communication networks, and has been cited more than 16,000 times by Google Scholar with an H-index of 65. He and his collaborators have received 11 Best Paper Awards from international conferences and journals, including the 2011 IEEE Marconi Paper Award for Wireless Communications.

Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is an annual evaluation of research journals, published by Clarivate Analytics. JCR contains information about research journals in the social and natural sciences, including the impact factors. Only journals indexed by SCIE or SSCI have an impact factor. Clarivate Analytics uses 28 criteria to evaluate journals. These include 24 quality assessment criteria for selecting journals based on editorial rigor and best practices, and four impact assessment criteria aimed at selecting journals with the greatest impact in each field, using citation activity as the main indicator of impact.
