In the sunshine of the grassland, there lived a happy zebra.
斑马有两个最好的朋友：聪明的大象和幽默的小鸟。
The zebra had two best friends: the clever elephant and the funny little bird.
三人总是一起玩，笑声不断，快乐无比。
The three of them always played together, their laughter echoing joyfully.
大象会讲很多有趣的故事。
The elephant could tell many interesting stories.
斑马和小鸟都喜欢听，大象的声音像音乐一样动人。
The zebra and the little bird loved to listen, as the elephant's voice was as beautiful as music.
小鸟非常搞笑，总是能逗得大家捧腹大笑。
The little bird was very funny and could always make everyone burst into laughter.
斑马则活泼好动，整天在草原上跑来跑去，充满了活力。
The zebra was lively and active, running around the grassland all day long, full of energy.
有一天，风呼呼地刮，斑马兴奋得直跳。
One day, the wind was blowing, and the zebra was jumping with excitement.
他在草地上飞奔，完全没注意到大象和小鸟已经跟不上了。
He raced across the grass, completely unaware that the elephant and the little bird couldn't keep up.
“停下来，斑马！”小鸟大声喊。
“Stop, zebra!” the little bird shouted loudly.
“你能不能慢点？”大象也急了。
“Can you slow down?” the elephant urged as well.
可斑马太快乐了，根本听不见他们的呼喊。
But the zebra was too happy and couldn't hear their calls at all.
他继续跑，欢声笑语在风中回荡。
He continued to run, his joyful laughter echoing in the wind.
第二天，斑马来到他们常见的地方，却发现大象和小鸟都不见了。
The next day, the zebra arrived at their usual meeting spot but found that the elephant and the little bird were missing.
他心里有些担心，开始到处寻找：“他们去哪儿了呢？”
He felt a little worried and began to search everywhere, asking, “Where did they go?”
最后，他在水塘边找到了大象和小鸟。
Finally, he found the elephant and the little bird by the pond.
他们看起来有点不高兴。
They looked a bit unhappy.
“我们不想和你一起玩，”小鸟说，“你让我们头晕！”
“We don’t want to play with you,” the little bird said, “You made us dizzy!”
“你总是跑得太快，”大象补充道。
“You always run too fast,” the elephant added.
斑马听后，心里有些失落。
The zebra felt a bit sad after hearing this.
他不知道该怎么办。
He didn't know what to do.
那天，炎热的阳光照射着，斑马站在原地，心里想着朋友们在干什么。
That day, the hot sun was shining, and the zebra stood there, thinking about what his friends were doing.
他想：“如果我能摸到树上的叶子就好了。
He thought, “I wish I could reach the leaves on the tree.
我好饿，也好想他们。如果我听他们的话就好了。”
I’m so hungry and miss them. I should have listened to them.”
这时，长颈鹿走了过来，微笑着说：“嗨，斑马！
Just then, a giraffe walked over and smiled, saying, “Hi, zebra!
如果你吃点东西，心情会好很多。”
If you eat something, you’ll feel much better.”
斑马觉得长颈鹿说得对。
The zebra thought the giraffe was right.
他吃了一些草，感觉好些了。
He ate some grass and felt better.
“想来玩我的新游戏吗？”斑马问。
“Do you want to play my new game?” the zebra asked.
于是，斑马和长颈鹿开始追逐。
So the zebra and the giraffe started to chase each other.
长颈鹿竟然比斑马还快，真是让人惊讶。
The giraffe was surprisingly faster than the zebra.
斑马的心情渐渐好转，几乎忘记了大象和小鸟。
The zebra’s mood gradually improved, and he almost forgot about the elephant and the little bird.
可是，傍晚时分，暴风雨突然来临。
But suddenly, in the evening, a storm hit.
斑马和长颈鹿在雨中玩得不亦乐乎，根本没注意到外面的天气变了。
The zebra and the giraffe were having so much fun in the rain that they didn't notice the weather changing.
大象和小鸟却被风雨吓坏了。
But the elephant and the little bird were scared by the wind and rain.
大象的耳朵被风刮得有点疼，小鸟的羽毛也被吹得乱七八糟。
The elephant's ears were hurt by the wind, and the little bird's feathers were blown into a mess.
“我希望这是在玩斑马的游戏，”小鸟担忧地说。
“I hope this is just a game from the zebra,” the little bird said worriedly.
“我们得去找他！”大象坚定地说。
“We need to find him!” the elephant said firmly.
于是，他们开始四处寻找，呼喊着斑马的名字。
So they began to search everywhere, calling the zebra’s name.
终于，他们在暴风雨中找到了斑马和长颈鹿。
Finally, they found the zebra and the giraffe in the storm.
“我们想你了！”大象急切地说。
“We missed you!” the elephant said anxiously.
“我们后悔离开你，”小鸟轻声说道，“我们很害怕。”
“We regret leaving you,” the little bird said softly, “We were very scared.”
“别怕！来玩我的新游戏吧，”斑马笑着说，“我保证不会再跑得太快了。”
“Don’t be afraid! Come play my new game,” the zebra said with a smile, “I promise I won’t run too fast anymore.”
接着，大象给大家讲了有趣的故事，
Then the elephant told everyone interesting stories,
小鸟讲了一个搞笑的笑话。
And the little bird told a funny joke.
大家都笑得前仰后合，忘记了刚才的恐惧。
Everyone laughed so hard that they forgot their earlier fears.
第二天，他们在阳光下醒来，心情愉快。
The next day, they woke up in the sunshine, feeling happy.
斑马兴奋地说：“我们还是最好的朋友！”
The zebra exclaimed, “We are still the best of friends!”
“怎么是三个？我们可是四个最好的朋友，永远在一起！”长颈鹿也开心地说。
“How can it be three? We are four best friends, together forever!” the giraffe added happily.
小鸟在长颈鹿的腿边飞舞，大家一起笑成一团。
The little bird fluttered around the giraffe's legs, and they all laughed together.
草原上又响起了他们的欢声笑语，幸福的时光再次回到他们的身边。
The sound of their laughter filled the grassland again, bringing back the joy they cherished.
