When it comes to learning Chinese, one of the most challenging aspects for learners is mastering pronunciation and memorizing vocabulary. But don't worry—there's an easier way!

We're thrilled to introduce the Link Words Video Series, a technique designed to help you effortlessly learn Chinese words. Let's get started!

About Link Words

The Link Words method, developed by That's Mandarin, is a unique approach to memorizing Chinese vocabulary. It works by creating associations between Chinese words and familiar "link words" in English, making it easier to retain new vocabulary.

When you start learning a language, the words don't make any sense at first. It's not easy to make your brain process them into meaningful words. But you can help your brain by building connections. Let's explore a few examples 👇

01. To Have

The word 有 (yǒu) means "to have," and it sounds just like "yo" in "yo-yo." Try remembering this by thinking of the sentence: "I have a yo-yo."

.EXAMPLES.

我有电脑。
Wǒ yǒu diànnǎo.
I have a computer.

你有时间吗?
Nǐ yǒu shíjiān ma?
Do you have time?

02. To Deliver

The Chinese word for "deliver" is 送 (sòng), which sounds like the English word "song." Picture a delivery guy cruising through the streets, enjoying a song while bringing you your food — that's an easy way to remember 送 (sòng).
