WeChat has always been committed to creating a safe, healthy, and green platform ecosystem. Recently, the WeChat team has strengthened the governance of personal WeChat accounts posting prohibited product information, including but not limited to the illegal use of the Internet to publish specific product marketing information (such as tobacco, e-cigarettes, etc.) or the use of the Internet to publish prohibited product marketing information (such as aphrodisiacs, illegal health products, etc.). Such illegal behavior seriously affects users' normal usage experience and is prone to fraudulent and other malicious activities.
To regulate the information release behavior of personal WeChat accounts, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of WeChat users, and in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations, as well as the provisions of the "Tencent WeChat Software License and Service Agreement" and "WeChat Personal Account Usage Guidelines," the WeChat team will adopt a step-by-step approach to deal with violations based on the severity of the violation:
For accounts with first-time or minor violations, warning reminders or functional penalties will be imposed.
For accounts with multiple or serious violations, overall account restrictions will be imposed.
