Shanghai expands foreign-related marriage registration to three more districts. Starting from January, the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau announced that in addition to the Municipal Marriage Registration Center (Foreign Affairs) and the Pudong New Area Marriage Management Office, a third batch of district-level pilot programs for marriage registration involving foreigners, as well as residents from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese, will be launched in Hongkou, Yangpu, and Putuo districts.
