We are pleased to present this Special Issue of the Water-Energy NEXUS Journal, focusing on innovative concepts that connect water and energy sectors and examining the dynamic interaction between these systems. Given the unparalleled challenges our global community faces regarding sustainability, climate change, and resource management, understanding and enhancing the interconnection between water and energy is crucial.
This Special Issue consolidates pioneering research, inventive solutions, and perceptive insights from prominent academics and practitioners in the domain. The scope of this special issue is to integrate novel concepts that connect the water and energy sectors from the papers presented at the WaterEnergyNEXUS (WEN2025) Conference. This conference covers a broad spectrum of subjects and themes that aim to tackle the crucial interdependencies between water and energy sustainability.
