About the position
The Research Group for Theoretical Computer Science at TU Hamburg is offering a doctoral position focusing on the computational complexity of constraint satisfaction problems (CSPs) and related challenges. This research combines methods from algebra, optimization, model theory, topology, and Ramsey theory to devise efficient algorithms and analyze problem classes.
Position Details
Employment Type: Full-time (100% TV-L E13, German public salary scale).
Minimum monthly salary: €2700 after taxes, depending on family situation.
Duration: 3 years, with the possibility of extension.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
Responsibilities
Conduct cutting-edge research in approximation algorithms, optimization, and computational complexity.
Participate in the group’s teaching activities.
Work towards obtaining a doctoral degree.
