About this position
The Department of Computer Science at Heidelberg University is accepting applications for the position of Akademische*r Rat/Rätin (A13), starting March 1, 2025.
We are seeking motivated computer scientists pursuing an academic career in Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), or Data Science with a strong passion for teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach core and advanced courses in computer science, including lectures, seminars, and labs.
Conduct research in ML, AI, or Data Science, ideally with practical applications in industry, business, or public administration.
Support the department in teaching administration and quality development.

Requirement
A completed university degree and Ph.D.
Excellent teaching skills.
Strong proficiency in both German and English.
Postdoctoral academic or relevant professional experience is a plus.
