Shaanxi region
The light and temperature in Shaanxi gradually decreases from south to north, and it is divided into four regions: I. warm and hot zone II. warm and humid zone III. medium temperature zone IV. cold and cool zone。
Shaanxi Province is located in the central and western regions of China, between 105°29' and 110°15' east longitude and 31°42' and 39°35' north latitude, with a length of about 870 km from north to south, a maximum width of 500 km from east to west, and an area of 206,000 km². The general characteristics of Shaanxi's landform are high in the north and south, low in the middle, high in the northwest and low in the southeast, bounded by the North Mountain and the Qinling Mountains, forming three natural areas with their own characteristics in the Loess Plateau of northern Shaanxi, the Guanzhong Plain and the Qinba Mountains in southern Shaanxi.
The soil types in Shaanxi are relatively rich, but the soil is mostly poor soil with lack of organic matter, such as Black loessial soils,Skeletol primitive soils, Yellow brown earth, etc。These soil types can develop wine grapes in loess and brown soils in Weibei and Guanzhong. Different soil types have an impact on the growth and quality of the grapes
Shaanxi's wine grapes mainly include these varieties
Shaanxi's annual average temperature, annual precipitation and annual sunshine hours are gradually decreasing from south to north, this make Shaanxi wine grape cultivation divided into four regions.:I. warm and hot zone。It is advisable to choose semi-dry or sweet wine varieties that require more calories II. warm and humid zone.It is suitable for cultivating early-maturing or medium-early maturing dry red wine varieties. III. medium temperature zone.It can cultivate excellent dry white and medium-ripe dry red wine varieties IV. cold and cool zone.It is suitable to choose excellent medium-early maturing varieties
1.Shaanxi Province straddles three climatic zones, with subtropical, warm temperate and middle temperate climate characteristics, precipitation from south to north is humid, semi-humid and semi-arid, and the temperature recovery in spring and autumn cooling are relatively fast. The soil types in Shaanxi are relatively rich, but the soil is mostly poor soil with lack of organic matter, black soil, yellow cotton soil, yellow-brown soil, etc., and the soil is loose, which provides good conditions for the growth of wine grapes.
2.The temperature of each production area is clearly differentiated but In some regions, the temperature may be too high or too low.Uneven distribution of precipitation:The uneven distribution of precipitation can lead to a lack of water or too much water during the growing season in some areas, affecting the growth and quality of the grapes.
