Going into the Golden Grape Growing Belt--Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Wine Region






 The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Wine Region, located in the golden planting belt at 40 degrees north latitude, has nurtured grapes and wines of outstanding quality with its unique climate, soil and light conditions. 

Here,we explore this charming appellation together .Let's savor the endless charm of this golden plantation belt together.

Precipitation and 

climate





    The average annual precipitation in the production area is 350~770 millimeters, with low precipitation, extremely uneven spatial and temporal distribution, more precipitation in the southeast than in the northwest, and precipitation concentrated in June, July and August. Less rainfall during the picking period is extremely favorable for reducing fruit cracking, preventing fruit mold and balancing the sugar-acid ratio.





    Producing areas are temperate humid semi-arid continental monsoon climate, cold and dry in winter, hot and rainy in summer. Especially in the northeast of Hebei production area, low altitude, warming early, warming fast, rich in heat, frost-free period is long, suitable for the growth of late ripening concentrated sweet wine grape varieties.

Soil characteristics




    The terrain of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei production area decreases step by step from northwest to southeast, with hilly terrain, which is suitable for grape cultivation. Soil types are diverse, dominated by brown soil, tidal soil, brown soil, chestnut calcium soil, etc., rich in minerals, loose and porous soil, good drainage, alkaline, very suitable for viticulture.

Light




    The high rate of sunshine, the long hours of light and the abundance of light energy in the appellation provide ideal conditions for the growth of grapes. The grapes ripen well here, and all the varieties show unique flavors and desirable qualities.

Grape Varieties and 

Wine Characteristics





 Cabernet Sauvignon


    The dry red wine produced is a deep ruby red color, full-bodied and fruity, with prominent tannins and grassy flavors in new wines. After aging, it gradually reveals notes of cedar, tobacco, leather and mushrooms.


Chardonnay

    The wine is pale yellow, clear and transparent, with a pleasant fruity aroma, a mellow taste and a unique flavor, and a high quality of wine.

 Merlot


    Ruby red wine with red and black berry fruit aromas, full-bodied, with soft tannins, medium weight and a silky texture.



Syrah


    The wine is deep ruby red with spice and blackberry aromas, fine and full-bodied.

Appellation Honors & 

Chateaux




    Huailai wine region has created a number of firsts in new Chinese wines., such as the first bottle of dry white grapewine, sparkling wine and brandy. The  wineries are Lane Castle, Xianglai Castle, Longxi Castle and so on.

     Tianjin's Dynasty Wine, which is made from Hangu Chadian rose-scented grapes, has won a number of international gold medals, and Hangu has become the best grape base for dry white wine in China. The rose-scented dry white wine is refreshing and pleasant with rose fragrance and fresh and lively taste.


    The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei wine region, with its unique natural conditions and exquisite winemaking skills, has become the bright pearl of China's wine industry. Every drop of wine here is the gift of nature and the crystallization of the hard work of winemakers.
