Han Yanshou was a prefecture in the Western Han Dynasty. One day, he went to Gaoling County and met two brothers quarreling for family property, even fighting with each other. They came to complain about this to him.Han Yanshou was so ashamed. He said: “ As a prefecture, I didn’t educate them well. I should quit my job and give the position to someone who is more capable.” Then, he stayed at home alone and thought about his mistakes. The two brothers were moved by him and apologized to him tearfully.
