Janos Pasztor拥有麻省理工学院（MIT）核工程学士和硕士学位，在能源、环境、气候变化和可持续发展领域的国际组织有近50年的工作经验。
2016-2023年，他担任卡内基国际事务伦理委员会高级研究员和卡内基气候治理倡议（C2G）执行主任。2015年至2016年期间，他在UN秘书长潘基文的领导下担任UN气候变化助理秘书长。
此前，他曾担任世界自然基金会国际保护事务代理执行主任和政策与科学主任。他曾任职的其他工作组织包括：1992年UN环境与发展会议（1992年地球问题首脑会议）秘书处；斯德哥尔摩环境研究所；联合国环境规划署(UNEP)；世界环境与发展委员会秘书处（布伦特兰委员会）
Janos Pasztor got his bachelor's and Master's degrees in nuclear engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and has nearly 50 years of experience working with international organizations in the fields of energy, environment, climate change, and sustainability.
From 2016 to 2023, he served as a Senior Associate at the Carnegie Council on Ethics in International Affairs and Executive Director of the Carnegie Climate Governance Initiative (C2G). Between 2015 and 2016, he served as UN Assistant Secretary-General for Climate Change under UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
Previously, he served as Acting Executive Director of International Conservation and Director of Policy and Science at WWF. Other working organizations in which he has served include: Secretariat of the 1992 UN Conference on Environment and Development (1992 Earth Summit); Stockholm Environment Institute; United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP); Secretariat of the World Commission on Environment and Development (Brundtland Commission)
