“外交部发言人办公室”消息，在5月17日外交部例行记者会上，新华社记者提问：联合国16日发布《2023年中期世界经济形势与展望》年中报告，预计2023年世界经济将增长2.3%，并将中国2023年的经济增长预测从此前的4.8%上调至5.3%。中方对此有何评论？
汪文斌：我们注意到联合国有关报告，以及报告对中国经济的积极预测。近期，世界银行、国际货币基金组织等国际组织和机构也纷纷调高今年中国经济增长预期，彰显对中国经济发展前景的信心。国际货币基金组织总裁格奥尔基耶娃表示，中国今年的经济增长将会强势反弹，对世界经济增长的贡献率将达到约三分之一。
国家统计局最新发布的数据显示，今年4月份，中国多数生产需求指标同比增速提升，服务业和消费恢复较快，就业物价总体稳定，国民经济延续恢复态势，向好因素累积增多。
中国经济韧性强、潜力大、活力足、长期向好的基本面没有改变，各项政策效果正在持续显现。相信随着中国经济活力和潜能的进一步释放，中国将继续为世界经济复苏注入信心和力量。我们也欢迎各国企业在中国市场的海洋里扬帆竞逐，收获未来。
Xinhua News Agency: According to reports, the UN launched the World Economic Situation and Prospects as of mid-2023 on May 16. The report projects global economic growth to be 2.3% and revises up China’s growth forecast from 4.8% to 5.3% for 2023. What’s your comment?
Wang Wenbin: We have noticed the UN report and its positive projection for China’s economy. Lately, other international organizations and agencies like the World Bank and the IMF have also revised up their 2023 growth projections for China, which demonstrates their confidence in China’s development prospects. IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva noted that with a strong rebound, the Chinese economy is expected to contribute more than one third of global growth this year.
According to the latest data from China’s National Bureau of Statistics, in April, the year-on-year growth for most production and demand indicators improved, services and consumption witnessed fast recovery, and employment and prices were generally stable. The national economy sustained the momentum of recovery with increasing positive factors.
The Chinese economy’s strong resilience, ample potential and strong vitality and the fundamentals sustaining China’s sound economic growth in the long run stay unchanged. Various policies continue to produce positive results. We are convinced that as the vitality and potential of China’s economy is further unleashed, China will bring more confidence and strength to the world economic recovery.
