In 2024, Tianjin Port Group achieved a cargo throughput of 493 million tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 3%. The container throughput reached 23.28 million TEUs, marking a year-on-year growth of 5% and an annual increase of over 1 million TEUs, both reaching record highs.

On January 17th, Tianjin Port Group released the demonstration application results of full-category new energy port operation machinery, showcasing 12 types of new energy port operation machinery across 7 categories, including electric forklifts, electric tractors, electric loaders, and super heavy-duty roll-on/roll-off tractors. These machines can basically meet the loading and unloading requirements for bulk cargo, oversized cargo, containers, and other working conditions.

On January 10, the container yard project on the south side of Huisheng wharf of Tianjin port with a total investment of about 560 million yuan was successfully completed, which will increase the annual turnover of goods by about 4.7 million tons, comprehensively increase the non-ferrous metal trading volume of Tianjin port, and help Tianjin Port build a non-ferrous ore distribution Center radiating the "Three North".

On January 3rd, Tianjin Port Pacific International Company set a new global record for the 2M Northern Europe II Line with an on-dock vessel efficiency of 506 natural boxes per hour, and at the same time, it established a new record for the on-dock vessel efficiency of container ships at Tianjin Port.

On January 1st, the "Tianjin Port Electronic Procurement Mall" was officially launched and put into operation. It mainly serves the field of port material procurement, covering 54 major categories and nearly 20,000 items of goods including port production professional materials and labor protection supplies.
