In recent years, the underground house scene has witnessed a notable shift from the hypnotic grooves of minimal to the raw, machine-funk energy of electro. Minimal, with its emphasis on precision, subtlety, and stripped-back rhythms, ruled much of the 2010s, creating deeply immersive yet understated dancefloor experiences. However, as the sound became increasingly refined and predictable, the scene began craving something more dynamic and unpredictable, leading to the resurgence of electro. With its broken beats, syncopated snares, and throbbing basslines, electro brings an energetic contrast to minimal’s smooth flow, injecting a sense of playfulness and raw futurism that evokes early Detroit techno and 80s European electronic music.

This shift isn’t a rejection of minimal but an expansion of its sonic palette. DJs and producers now blend the depth of minimal with the punch of electro, creating a new hybrid sound that keeps dancefloors engaged with its unique tension. Electro’s return signals a revival of creativity and experimentation in the underground, reconnecting with the futuristic, rebellious spirit that defined early electronic music. As the boundaries between genres blur, this fusion breathes new life into the scene, making space for fresh, boundary-pushing sounds.

Hailing from Italy's deep underground, Giammarco Orsini is a master of the groove, known for weaving subtle layers of minimalism and vintage house into hypnotic rhythms that catch the body in motion. His carefully curated sets blur the line between dancefloor euphoria and intricate sonic craftsmanship—each track a statement of intention, each transition a moment to breathe and move. 

On November 2nd, TOXIC x FORMA present a night where stripped-down grooves meet warm analog textures and deep, heady rhythms. Joining him are the local forces that have been continuously pushing this sound further, Kai.F and Nigls, to ensure the night flows with an unbroken momentum.

Giammarco Orsini, born in Italy and now based in Berlin, subtly evolved into one of the most respected DJs and producers. Inspired by a blend of House, Techno, Electro, and Progressive elements, Giammarco moves through various musical styles and moods, creating sets where transitions are felt rather than just heard.

The same curiosity and drive that fills Giammarco’s crates inspire the distinctive sound of his productions. His recent discography is punctuated by noteworthy releases on esteemed labels including Cragie Knowes, Mood Waves and Shonky’s Stoned Pilot. Further collaborating with like-minded artists, Giammarco co-founded Data Memory Access, a vibrant musical duo and record label known for its dynamic live performances and innovative productions.

NIGLS，出生于澳门的葡萄牙艺术家，迄今已有10余年电子 音乐场景经验。2012年他移居北京，从那时起就成为北京地 下电子音乐的中心力量。

Nigls的音乐旅程发迹于北京京地下电子音乐重要根据地 Lantern Club灯笼俱乐部的邀约，在这里找到了属于自己的 音乐发展之路，通过探索不同电子音乐领域，带领着众多电子音乐爱好者创造了无数美好的夜晚。2018年，他创立了FORMA系列，这活动厂牌专注于House和 Techno音乐的极简主义边缘，同时探索声音和艺术之间的共 生关联。

Originating from Macau, Portuguese artist Nigls has been blending tracks for over a decade. Relocating to Beijing in 2012, he established himself as a local figure in the underground electronic music scene.

By becoming a mainstay in the line-ups of the acclaimed underground institution - Lantern Club, he found the space to go deeper in refining his taste by exploring diverse electronic music territories and implementing it on the dancefloor. In 2018 he founded the FORMA series, this event label focuses on a more minimalist edge of House and Techno music while exploring the symbiosis between sound and art.

北京曾经的地下电子乐地标 ECHO INC. 唱片店的老板、ByeByeDisco 厂牌驻场 Kai.F，是当下本土场景中为数不多的真正的唱片骑师。秉持selector信条，他的音乐收集建立在庞杂的digging谱系之上，植根于对唱片历史和厂牌的丰厚知识与理解，以刁钻的口味精细整理收藏，在House, Techno领域，对各延展风格流派兼收并蓄，并努力打破边界。多年的经验积累，他深谙舞池流动，敏锐地捕捉当下舞池的情绪及能量，丢出恰如其分最惊喜的一曲！同时身为活动组织者，他与友人共同运营着Elastic People，Forma等活动品牌，积极投身于本土场景建设及国际交流，以极具前瞻性的视野，引入如Magda, Sepp, Andrey Pushkarev等优秀艺术家来华演出交流。

Kai.f has spent much of his time doing what a lot of music lovers surely envy him for: digging through crates and crates of vinyl records. Founder of ECHO INC. - one of the very few vinyl stores managing to sell dance music records in a country where few people cherish vinyl let alone play it in clubs, Kai.f is as singular a figure in China’s dance music scene as he is important to dance music vinyl records in China.As a DJ, Kai.f feels comfortable breaking genre boundaries and incorporates Techno, House and Minimal into his sets as eclectic as the many records he has on sale.
