2024年11月16日傍晚，纽约的秋风微凉，但并未阻挡西政校友们的热情。来自河南、重庆、安徽、四川、天津、深圳、新疆、南京、江苏等地的部分西南政法大学校友齐聚一堂，享受重庆火锅的温暖与美味，同时展开了对未来的深入讨论。

此次聚会是一次思想交流与展望未来的平台。研96级民商法校友杨利强分享了亚太国际仲裁院的最新发展，详细阐述了中国企业“走出去”过程中涉外法律的战略规划和实施路径，并鼓励大家发挥各自的专业优势，为中国企业在国际市场上提供法律支持。
其他校友围绕国际法律人才的培养、企业全球化战略的实施及未来发展机会展开了热烈讨论。从国际贸易合规、跨境投资保护，到并购交易与争议解决，校友们凭借中美双重教育与职业背景，分享了许多深刻的见解与实践案例。火锅结束后，校友们还一起散步纽约时代广场。

On the evening of November 16, 2024, the cool autumn breeze in New York did little to dampen the enthusiasm of the Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL) alumni. Alumni from Henan, Chongqing, Anhui, Sichuan, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Xinjiang, Nanjing, Jiangsu, and other regions gathered together to enjoy the warmth and rich flavors of Chongqing hot pot, while engaging in an in-depth discussion about the future.
This gathering was a platform for exchanging ideas and envisioning the future. Yang Liqiang, an alumnus from the 1996 class of Civil and Commercial Law, shared the latest developments from the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber, elaborating on the strategic planning and practical path of foreign-related law for Chinese enterprises "going global." He encouraged fellow alumni to leverage their professional expertise to provide more legal support and guidance for Chinese companies on the international stage.
Other alumni engaged in lively discussions on topics such as the cultivation of international legal talent, the implementation of global corporate strategies, and future development opportunities. From international trade compliance and cross-border investment protection to mergers and acquisitions and dispute resolution, the alumni shared deep insights and practical case studies based on their dual education and professional backgrounds in both China and the U.S.
The evening was filled with passion and thoughtful exchange. The alumni connected through their shared experiences and ideals, revisiting the spirit of SWUPL while expressing their confidence and anticipation for the future. This gathering was not only a continuation of friendships but also a significant event that offered new perspectives and opportunities for collaboration in the development of Sino-U.S. law and business.
