详细内容
Transitioning to a low-carbon transportation systems not only curtails energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions but also stimulates sustainable economic growth, thereby aiding in climate change mitigation and energy transition. Policy measures such as setting emissions standards, encouraging green transportation and public transportation are being implemented to foster a low-carbon transportation infrastructure. Moreover, investments in innovative transportation technologies like electric vehicles, renewable energy, and intelligent transport systems are creating new market opportunities and spurring technological advancements. These efforts are integral to both developing low-carbon transportation and supporting broader carbon neutrality strategies.
This special issue focuses on exploring the economic, technical, environmental, and social facets of low-carbon transportation in the quest for carbon neutrality. It invites contributions that demonstrate recent innovations and methodological advancements across technical, business, and social dimensions. Through this special issue, we hope to offer innovative ideas and strategies for achieving global carbon neutrality goals, as well as scientific support for the formulation and implementation of relevant policies.
Papers may include the following topics, but not limited to:
The impact of intelligent transportation technologies on energy conservation and emission reduction(ECER)
Monitoring and management of ECER in transportation systems
Carbon footprint analysis of transportation systems
Potential of renewable energy in transportation sector
Exploring pathways to achieve carbon neutrality in the transportation sector
Green transformation strategies for public transportation systems
Low-carbon transportation solutions in urban planning
Carbon pricing mechanisms and economic effects in the transportation sector
Manuscript Submission Information:
We sincerely welcome manuscripts containing novel, high quality, and unpublished research results. The invited submissions will be processed and reviewed in the same way as open submissions. Both review articles and original research articles are welcome. All submissions deemed suitable to be sent for peer review will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
Manuscripts should be submitted via journal online submission system at: Editorial Manager by selecting the Article Type of "VSI: Low-Carbon Transport". A detailed submission guideline is available as “Guide to Authors”.
Once your manuscript is accepted, it will go into production and will be simultaneously published in the current regular issue and pulled into the online Special Issue. Articles from this Special Issue will appear in different regular issues of the journal, though they will be clearly marked and branded as Special Issue articles.
