根据斯里兰卡中国文化中心公众号：11月12日，2024年视障学生奖学金颁发仪式在斯里兰卡首都科伦坡举行，30名来自低收入家庭的视障学生获奖。斯里兰卡中国文化中心主任倪利生应邀出席仪式，并为获奖学生颁奖。
斯里兰卡盲人理事会主席古纳拉特纳在致辞中表示，理事会一直以来致力于为斯里兰卡盲人提供服务，感谢中国的基金会对斯里兰卡视障儿童教育事业提供的支持。
斯中协会主席德席尔瓦表示，每当斯里兰卡遭遇困难，中国政府和人民总会毫不犹豫地伸出援手。本次活动的奖学金为急需帮助的视障儿童提供了更多更好的学习机会，十分感激中国的友谊与支持。
斯里兰卡中国文化中心主任倪利生表示，奖学金充分体现了中斯两国人民之间的深厚友谊与相互支持，为学生们带来动力和希望。希望获奖学生继续努力，在国际社会的关心与支持下拥有更加光明的未来。
本次活动由斯里兰卡盲人理事会和斯中协会联合举办。奖学金由广州国际交流合作基金会全额资助，通过中国爱德基金会捐赠。
Scholarship Ceremony for Visually Impaired Students Held in Colombo
(Colombo, November 12) – A scholarship ceremony was held today in the Sri Lankan capital to honor 30 visually impaired students from low-income families. Ni Lisheng, Director of China Cultural Center in Sri Lanka, was invited to attend the ceremony and present awards to the students.
Gunaratna, President of the Sri Lanka Council for the Blind, expressed gratitude for the continuous support provided by Chinese foundations to the education of visually impaired children in Sri Lanka. He emphasized the Council’s commitment to serving the visually impaired community in Sri Lanka.
Jinith de Silva, President of Sri Lanka-China Society, highlighted the unwavering support extended by the Chinese government and people during challenging times for Sri Lanka. He expressed deep appreciation for the scholarship, which provides much-needed opportunities for visually impaired children and signifies the strong bond of friendship between the two countries.
Ni Lisheng, Director of China Cultural Center in Sri Lanka, emphasized that the scholarships exemplify the profound friendship and mutual support between the Chinese and Sri Lankan people. She encouraged the scholarship recipients to strive for excellence and expressed hope that with the continued care and support of the international community, they would have a bright future.
The event was jointly organized by the Sri Lanka Council for the Blind and Sri Lanka-China Society. The scholarships were fully funded by Guangzhou Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation in China and donated by Amity Foundation in China.
