The United States has once again weaponized its tariff policy by imposing tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China. Ostensibly, imposing tariffs would benefit Washington by reducing its trade deficit with these countries, increasing its fiscal revenue. Or it can be used as a bargaining chip in negotiations.
