This way, they could confirm there were no copyright infringements before proceeding with the collaboration, helping to avoid unnecessary copyright issues.

"AI Copyright Checker"
The "AI Copyright Checker" is China's first judicial pattern comparison application, launched by the China Textile City Court under the District People's Court. It addresses key judicial challenges in pattern copyright disputes, including verifying design originality, assessing innovation levels, and making definitive judgments. This WeChat mini-program offers services for "checking, comparing, disputing, and observing" to market vendors. In April of this year, the Supreme People's Court began a pilot program for the digital application of the "AI Copyright Checker" in courts across several regions, including Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Shandong, and Guangdong, marking its nationwide rollout.
“版权AI智审”是区人民法院轻纺城法庭推出的全国首个司法领域图案查重比对应用，破解了花样版权纠纷中图案原创情况难查、创新程度难定、实施认定难断等司法痛点，通过“版权AI智审”微信小程序，为轻纺市场经营户提供“查、比、争、看”服务。今年4月，最高人民法院在上海、江苏、浙江、安徽、山东、广东等辖区内法院开展“版权AI智审”数字化应用试点工作，这意味着，该应用开始在全国推广。
The launch of the "AI Copyright Checker" has significantly improved the accuracy of fact-finding in copyright cases, effectively resolving long-standing issues related to copyright ownership disputes that have troubled the courts for years. Data show that, as of the end of August this year, the digital application has handled 6,417 external source tracing and duplicate detection cases from 182 courts across 13 provinces, revealing 3,858 instances of prior use, with an effective duplicate detection rate of 61%. This WeChat mini-program offers one-click source tracing and innovation comparison services to 33,000 market vendors, helping to prevent image copyright disputes from the outset. In the textile markets, such disputes have decreased by 91.67% over the past three years.
“版权AI智审”的上线显著提升了著作权案件审判查明事实的精准度，有效解决了困扰法院多年的著作权权属争议难题。数据显示，截至今年8月底，“版权AI智审”数字化应用共受理13省182家法院的外网溯源查重案件6417件，查出在先使用3858件，有效查重率占比61%。该微信小程序为3.3万市场经营户提供一键溯源、创新比对服务，从源头预防图片版权类纠纷，轻纺城市场内该类纠纷三年下降91.67%。
"The 'AI Copyright Checker' represents a significant achievement in the development of digital courts, playing a vital role in combating fraudulent lawsuits, enhancing judicial efficiency, and promoting copyright protection." According to Qian Zhoulin, the head of the China Textile City Court, the court collaborated with a technical team from Zhijiang College of Zhejiang University of Technology in April 2021 to develop this digital application. Currently, "AI Copyright Checker" allows market vendors to independently check and compare, while also providing crucial support for judges in handling cases efficiently. Since its launch, the number of copyright cases in the district has decreased from over 400 annually to just a few dozen, effectively curbing the occurrence of regulatory abuse and fraudulent lawsuits.
“‘版权AI智审’是数字法院建设的一项重要成果，在打击虚假诉讼、提升审判质效、促进版权保护等方面发挥了重要作用。”据轻纺城法庭庭长钱舟琳介绍，2021年4月，轻纺城法庭联合浙江工业大学之江学院技术团队，研发推出了“版权AI智审”数字化应用，目前“版权AI智审”不仅可供经营户自主查比，更为法官高效办案提供了重要依据。“版权AI智审”自上线以来，我区花样版权案件数量从原先的每年400多件下降至每年几十件，有效遏制了滥用规制和虚假诉讼的案件发生。
Additionally, the second phase of the "AI Copyright Checker" digital application is now in the acceptance phase, promising further improvements in comparison speed.
值得一提的是，“版权AI智审”数字化应用二期开发目前也已进入验收阶段，届时，查比速度将得到进一步提升。
