Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

The streets and skylines of Manhattan were greeted Thursday morning with a grand celebration - the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, a centuries-old tradition.
To boost holiday sales at its newly opened flagship store, Macy's held its first Macy's Christmas Parade in November 1924, borrowing animals from the Central Park Zoo.
Three years later, the first balloon character "Felix the Cat" came out.
Now, on its 100th anniversary, the parade has become so spectacular that Macy's is calling it the biggest ever.
More than 30 balloons, 20 floats, 11 bands, 10 performing groups and more than 700 clowns were on display to welcome Santa Claus and the start of the holiday season.
"This beloved celebration of tradition marks the beginning of the holiday season for millions of live viewers and a national television audience," said Will Coase, executive producer of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
At the same time, the countdown to the 2024 World Madam Awards ceremony is also underway, and the 2024 World Madam Awards ceremony will be held on December 12, 2024 at the largest private castle in New York State.
