medal to the World Madam Foundation
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.
I am here tonight to express my gratitude to Anni for her support to our Nan Shan Senior Center. Last year, Anni brought 300 turkey sandwiches and pumpkin pies to our seniors. Together with two other World Madams, Anni personally helped distribute the food. And afterwards, the World Madams hosted a wonderful performance of songs and dances to entertain the seniors. Afterward, many Nan Shan members came to me and told me that was the happiest Thanksgiving they had.
One of my friends used to tell me that the last 10 years her father spent at Nan Shan was the happiest time in his life. I always treasure these words and am trying my best to give the same experience to all the seniors we serve. Anni, because of your kindness and generosity, it helps us to get that important work done.
Anni, I truly appreciate all that you have given us, both financially and the gift of your time. With your contribution, we are going to host a Lunar New Year event. And I hope it will be one of the happiest and most memorable Lunar New Year our seniors will experience.
