Editor's Note
Today marks the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland. Over the past quarter-century, Macao has flourished, balancing its rich heritage with new opportunities for growth and development. As the city looks back on its journey, it continues to serve as a dynamic hub for cultural exchange and education.
At Peking University (PKU), Macao students are embracing this legacy, shaping its future, and connecting its diverse history with the world today. Now, let's step into four Macao students' stories in Yanyuan.

Living and studying in Beijing has allowed me to experience firsthand the cultural, social, and economic dynamics of the mainland while staying deeply connected to my roots in Macao. This dual perspective enables me to understand and appreciate the unique characteristics of both.

In recent years, Macao has been actively promoting the "1+4" appropriate diversification development strategy, with modern financial services and high technology being two of the four key focus areas. These align closely with my primary degree in Economics and Finance, as well as my dual degree in Artificial Intelligence. I hope to apply what I have learned to give back to Macao, contributing to the realization of Macao's economic diversification.

I envision myself as a cultural and academic bridge. I believe that by contributing to the dialogue between Macao and the mainland, I can help to weave a richer narrative of shared history and common goals. It's about more than just studying; it's about being an active participant in a community that cherishes knowledge, fosters innovation, and strives for excellence.
