纽约新锐时尚品牌群展
8月13号,作为“掌管美丽的神”靳羽西的跨界文化时尚派对的一部分(在纽约,和「中国最有名的女人」靳羽西一起派对),我们将在纽约华美协进社(China Institute in America)举办一场迷你时装秀,集中展示一些活跃在纽约的中国设计师品牌。届时,品牌主办人也会现身,一起来分享她们理解的女性美!

八零后、九零后对“美神”靳羽西的记忆





小时候第一次知道羽西是通过妈妈的化妆包。她总从白色包装上印有黑体「羽西」两字的袋子里拿起化妆棉,那是她清晨洗脸的第一步。她有次带着崇拜的表情跟我说这位创始人很厉害。很小的时候对外在美所有的认知都是从妈妈那来的:高跟鞋,从来不重样的裙子,然后就是羽西化妆品。后来妈妈一路创业,总感觉后面也有「羽西」精神的推动。她很忙,也很少回家,不过那时我就明白:因为她崇拜的是这样的女性啊,当然是以事业为重。虽然我成为不了事业型的人,有自己的追求和坚持,I’m always proud of her,也佩服羽西给这一代女性带来的追求独立自由的精神力量。很多年后我来到纽约上学,机缘巧合去羽西家玩,跟她提到妈妈,走时她说:代我向妈妈问好。我很感动,妈妈当时重病在身,听到这句问候真的很开心。再后来,我又参加了羽西很多gala,她永远那么热情洋溢那么energetic,是我这种爱苦恼爱伤感的人感到不可思议和神奇的。I think she is a great legacy and miracle. 就算已成为传奇也带着用不完的好奇心不停止学习和探索,我在她身上永远能学到很多。

我人生第一板眼影是在大一那年看了她的书以后专门跑到商场专柜买的,试妆员特别认真的给我画了到现在依旧喜欢的颜色。大红色的羽西眼影盒,配了粉红色和柠檬金的眼影盘。现在对色彩的理解多了很多,也试错过很多,反证了当时羽西品牌正确的推荐。一个品牌这么早就把四季理论运用在颜色设计上,还培训到基层柜台,照顾每一个爱美的心时代的偶像!

直到十岁那年被妈妈带去商场专柜“参观”羽西娃娃才第一次想到,好像从小抱着的洋娃娃都是金色头发和蓝眼睛,深眼窝和翘鼻子。那或许是第一次,从玩具中识别出世界与自己。

‘Bloom Tear,' is a culmination of inspiration drawn from the serene, rural villages of China. This collection represents a bold departure from conventional fashion narratives, challenging stereotypes associated with middle-aged women and rural Chinese culture. 




VV Hanwei Su, residing in New York, is the Creative and Design Director at MAISON DE HOE, where she has propelled the brand into the global fashion spotlight. An award-winning alumna of Parsons School of Design, Su's creations blend contemporary Chinese culture with New York’s avant-garde vibrancy, crafting narratives that bridge worlds. Her accolades include the 2023 Kyoto Global Design Award and the 2022 Tishman Award for Excellence in Climate, Environmental Justice, and Sustainability. Su’s designs have graced the runways at New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week, earning extensive global press coverage in esteemed publications such as Vogue, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Grazia USA, Forbes, GQ, and L'Officiel. She is a member of the Asia Designer Communication Platform and was a featured guest on local TV shows such as "New York Lounge". Her work is celebrated for its innovative fusion of tradition and modernity, promoting cultural diversity and female empowerment while inspiring a new generation of designers. Su's journey exemplifies her relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation, setting a new standard for what fashion can achieve in terms of cultural storytelling and design.




Alina Yiyuan Zhang is a womenswear designer brand that focuses on the balance between body and space by creating silhouettes inspired by structural beauty brought by nature.




Alina Yiyuan Zhang is a visionary fashion designer whose creative journey intertwines the dynamic landscapes of Parsons and Central Saint Martins. With an unwavering passion for womenswear, Alina delves deep into the artistry of garment structure, the natural flow of fabric, and embodying a fusion of innovation and tradition in her designs. She draws inspiration from the tapestry of daily life. DI GAO is a New York-based fashion brand that merges traditional craftsmanship with futuristic aesthetics to create innovative, wearable art. Our designs go beyond conventional fashion, transforming garments into expressive, living entities that celebrate individuality and authenticity. Committed to sustainability and ethical production, DI GAO offers timeless pieces that tell unique stories and inspire change. Embrace the intersection of tradition and innovation with DI GAO, where fashion meets art.





DI GAO is a fashion designer and textile artist based in New York. With a passion for creativity and by defying convention, she hopes to revolutionize the knitwear and craft industries. She started to explore the different ways to combine the traditional craft techniques with futuristic style when she was pursuing her master’s degree at Parsons Fashion & Society MFA program. Her goal is to bring a fresh perspective on craft in the 21st century by combining her expertise in fashion with the artisanal techniques she has honed over the course of her career. Her designs have graced the stages of industry titans like Thom Browne, Alexander Wang, Coach and Kate Spade, etching her name among the luminaries of haute couture. Collaborations with esteemed brands such as Swarovski have further elevated her artistic vision, showcasing her pieces in prestigious platforms like Vogue Runway, DEW, and Lula Japan. DI is working as a knitwear designer for Thom Browne now.




ZuRui’s creations are known for their strong visual appeal, with each series rooted in a unique narrative. He aims to use each look to establish a distinct character. Currently, ZuRui is developing his own label while also taking orders from private clients for custom-made garments.




Simon ZuRui Chen is an independent fashion designer based in New York. In 2023, he graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he was mentored by the renowned fashion designer and sculptor Nick Cave. In the same year, ZuRui debuted his first collection, "Coronation: Campus." This five-look couture collection, inspired by a fictional coronation ceremony set in an academic environment, serves as a tribute to his educational journey's conclusion. 


Have you ever imagined one day we could actually talk to plants? Whenever I walk in nature, I try to converse with everything around me. Sometimes, when I see the fruits on a tree, I feel like they don’t want to fall. They seem scared, like humans. Walking around the city, I wonder if the tall buildings and cars make the plants here feel uncomfortable. Would they choose to live in a city if they could? All these conversations and questions happen in my mind, leading me to wonder when we might be able to talk to plants. In this collection, I combine actual character identities with my imagination to develop different silhouettes, materials, and functions that serve various needs in this bizarre world. In this world a scientist discovered plants can actually use their xylem to make sound, and a crazy gardener grows the grass who can communicate with her. I hope my brand story is like a storybook, one that makes you want to find your own answers after you close it. I have always believed that nature has its own way of communicating and wants to tell different stories to different people.




Xinyan Chi is a fashion designer based in New York who uses her design language to respond to nature and the environment around her. Xinyan Chi views fashion as a medium for both storytelling and expression. Her design philosophy revolves around weaving diverse materials and innovative functional designs as narrative. Through her design, Xinyan Chi invites viewers into a whimsical world full of imagination.



Founded in late 2023, YilliaQ is an energetic and dynamic fashion brand committed to revolutionizing the fashion industry through its unique approach. Since its inception, YilliaQ has quickly established itself as a distinguished designer brand. The core of YilliaQ's philosophy is fashion psychotherapy. Our mission is to create custom clothing that enhances our customers' sense of satisfaction and solace. By thoughtfully designing innovative apparel through the careful selection of colors, fabrics, textures, structures, and materials, we offer more than just clothing – we provide a fashion prescription that helps balance internal spirit with external senses.




Yu Qian is a fashion designer who focuses on mental health issues. With a five-year clinical pharmacy background, she is well aware that mental health and physical health are equally important. So she always uses unique design approach and innovative vision to create works, in order to evoke resonance for the audience and lead a healing emotion for the wearer.
