Spot bakes a cake 小玻烤蛋糕
爸爸的生日到了，小狗Spot想给爸爸一个惊喜，于是自己动手做蛋糕，买食材、做蛋糕、装饰蛋糕，平常调皮的Spot今天可是难得的有耐心呢，跟着Sam老师一起来看Spot如何做蛋糕。
It's your dad's birthday on Friday, Spot.
Let's bake a cake!
妈妈：小玻，周五是你爸爸的生日哟。
小玻：那我们为他烤一个生日蛋糕吧！
We have to go shopping.
I need some cheese.
妈妈：我们得去超市买点东西。
小老鼠：记得帮我买点奶酪呀。
Can you find a bar of chocolate, Spot?
Dad loves chocolate cake!
妈妈：你能去拿一些巧克力吗，小玻？
小玻拿来了很多巧克力：爸爸可喜欢吃巧克力蛋糕了。
Now we can make the cake.
We've already started!
妈妈：现在我们开始做蛋糕吧。
小玻和小老鼠：你瞧，我们已经开始了哟。
Spot, that's enough!
小玻和小老鼠把桌子上弄得一团糟。
妈妈：小玻，好了，别胡闹啦！
The cake is in the oven. Help me clean up, Spot!
I am helping.
妈妈：我已经把蛋糕放到烤箱里去烤了。帮我收拾一下桌子吧，小玻！
小玻：好的，我正在帮忙收拾。
Can I decorate the cake yet, Mum?
It's ready now.
小玻：妈妈，我可以装饰蛋糕了吗？
妈妈：蛋糕烤好了，你可以开始装饰了。

Go easy on the icing, Spot!

Why Robins Hop 知更鸟为什么跳
Once, many years ago, all the birds of the world met together. they had a problem. it all started when foxes began to chase robins. Foxes normally chased chickens..
许多年前，有一次，世界上所有的鸟都相遇了。他们遇到了问题。这一切都始于狐狸开始追逐知更鸟。狐狸通常追逐小鸡。
One day, a fox followed the tracks of a chicken. or so it thought. the tracks really belonged to a robin. at that time, all the birds had the same tracks.
一天，一只狐狸跟踪一只鸡的踪迹。至少它是这么想的。这些足迹真的属于一只知更鸟。当时，所有的鸟都有相同的足迹。
Chickens knew to run from foxes. Robins did not. So the fox easily chased the robins. The robins were tired of being chased.
鸡知道如何躲避狐狸。罗宾斯没有。所以狐狸很容易就追上了知更鸟。知更鸟厌倦了被追赶。
All the birds met. they wanted to protect robins from foxes. they needed a plan. owl asked"what can be done?"
所有的鸟都相遇了。他们想保护知更鸟不受狐狸的伤害。他们需要一个计划。猫头鹰问：“能做什么？”
Woodpecker said:"let robins fly all the time. or make them stay in the tree".
啄木鸟说：“让知更鸟一直飞。或者让它们留在树上。”
Crow did not like this plan. he knew that robins ate worms from the dirt. "Robins must walk on the ground" he said.
乌鸦不喜欢这个计划。他知道知更鸟吃泥土里的虫子。“知更鸟必须在地上行走，”他说。
Hummingbird said，“ Let robins eat from flowers""that won't work either" said sparrow. "Robins don't have the proper beaks."

The birds thought. they talked and they thought some more.
鸟儿们想。他们讨论了一会儿，又想了一会儿。
Finally, Owl, said." Let robins hop on both feet".
最后，猫头鹰说。“让知更鸟用双脚跳跃”
"Robins tracks will not look like chickens tracks if they hop" Owl said.
猫头鹰说：“知更鸟的足迹不会看起来像鸡的足迹。”。
"Good ,good " cried all the birds. they flapped their wings with joy.
“好，好”所有的鸟都叫道。他们高兴地拍打着翅膀。
Chickens would walk with one foot after the other. Robins would hop. Foxes would not get confused.
鸡会一只接一只地走路。知更鸟会跳。狐狸不会感到困惑。
Owl was glad she could help the robins. now she could sleep.
猫头鹰很高兴她能帮助知更鸟。现在她可以睡觉了。
From that day on. foxed only chased chickens. robins could search the dirt for worms in peace.
从那天起。狐狸只追逐小鸡。知更鸟可以平静地在泥土中寻找虫子。

Helping Mom 帮助妈妈
Mom got flowers for a garden.
妈妈为花园买花。
She said, “You can help me.”
她说，“你可以帮助我。”
I said, “Do I have to? I don’t know how to plant f lowers.”
我说，“我必须这样做吗？我不知道如何种花。”
But Mom said,“Come on. It will be fun.”
但妈妈说，“来吧。这会很有趣的。”
So I pushed and Mom pulled.
所以我推了推妈妈。
It was hard work!

“Let’s put the f lowers here,” Mom said.
“我们把鲜花放在这里，”妈妈说。
I said, “These pots are too big.”

But Mom said, “You can do it!”

Next I had to dig some holes.

It was a big job!

And it was not much fun.

Then we had to put the flowers in the dirt.

It was hot,but we had to keep working.

Next we had to water the flowers.

Mom said, “You can do that.

It will be fun!

I got the hose. I turned it on.

So I watered the flowers.

Silly Sara.

Silly Sara sat on her hat.

Silly Sara tripped[trɪpt] on her cat.
傻萨拉被自己的猫绊倒。
Silly Sara slipped [slɪpt] on the mat[mæt].
萨拉踩在垫子上滑倒。
Silly Sara missed ['mɪst] with the bat[bæt].
萨拉打棒球接不到球。
Sara chewed[tʃu:d] bubble gum [ˈbʌbəl] [ɡʌm].
She blew a big bubble.

Then a bigger bubble.
Then the biggest bubble.
Silly Sara.

The door went SLAM[slæm]!
In came Sam.
“You have a funny face.”
“Hey，want to race[reɪs]？”

“嘿，要去骑滑板车比赛吗？”
Sam and Sara scoot[sku:t].

Sara was first.
Sam was last.

Sam and Sara played hide-and-seek.
Sara had to peek[pi:k] .

Sara saw Sam.

Sam gobbled[ˈgɔbəld] up his jam ham sandwich.
"I am Super Sam!"he said.
"Now you have a funny face," said Sara.
萨姆狼吞虎咽的吃完了他的果酱火腿三明治。
“我是超人萨姆！”
“你现在的脸好好笑！”萨拉说。
“Don't be silly,Sara”
"Okay,She said.
"I am not Silly Sara."
"I am Super Sara!"
“别傻了”，萨姆说。
“好了！”萨拉说，
“我不是傻萨拉，
我是超人萨拉！“
"And we are super[ˈsu:pə(r)] pals[pælz]!"
”我们是超级好朋友！“

Talent Show 才艺表演
“Good!” said Sheep. “I’ll sing in your show.”
Then Sheep sang a song for Horse.
“好！”绵羊说。“我将在你的节目中唱歌。”
然后绵羊为马唱了一首歌。
Horse went to see Goat.
“I'm going to have a talent show,” Horse said. “You can be in my show.”
马去找山羊。
“我要举办一个才艺表演，”马说。“你可以参加我的表演。”
“Good!” said Goat. “I’ll dance in your show.”
Then Goat did a dance for Horse.
“好!”山羊说。“我将在你的节目中跳舞。”
然后山羊为马跳了一个舞。
Horse went to see Dog.
“I’m going to have a talent show,” Horse said. “Will you be in my show?”
马去找小狗。
“我要举办一个才艺表演，”马说。“你要参加我的节目吗？”
Dog said, “Yes! I'll play this drum in your show.” Dog played the drum.
狗说:“是的！我将在你的节目中扮演这个角色。狗敲起了鼓。
Rabbit went to see Horse.
“Can I be in your talent show?” said Rabbit. “Yes!” said Horse. “What will you do?”
兔子看到了马。
“我能参加你们的才艺表演吗?”兔子说。
“可以啊！”马说。“你打算表演什么？”
“I’ll read a book in your show,” Rabbit said. Then Rabbit read a book.
“我要在你的节目里读一本书。”兔子说。然后兔子读了一本书。
“Yes!” said Pig. “I'll jump rope in your show.”
Pig jumped rope for Horse.
“是啊！”猪说。“我要在你的表演中跳绳。”
猪为马跳绳。
“It’s time for the show,” said Horse.
“What will you do in the show?” said Dog.
“You’ll see,” said Horse.
“表演的时间到了，”马说。
“你在剧中会做什么?”狗说。
“你等着瞧吧，”马说。
He danced with Goat.
He played a drum with Dog.
节目开始了。
马和羊一起唱歌。
他和山羊跳舞。
他和狗一起打鼓。
He read a book with Rabbit.
He jumped rope with Pig.
他和兔子一起读书。
他和猪一起跳绳。
It was a very good show!
