In Montreal, Canada, Le Within, a student apartment carefully designed by Sid Lee Architecture, is like a shining pearl. It will debut in 2024 and provide a unique living place for students.
在加拿大蒙特利尔，Sid Lee Architecture 精心打造的学生公寓 ——Le Within，宛如一颗璀璨明珠，于 2024 年闪耀登场，为莘莘学子呈上别具一格的栖息之所。
室外，公寓建筑巧妙融合于城市脉络，与周边街区的历史韵味和现代活力和谐共鸣。其外观既尊重 Shaughnessy Village 历史建筑的传统风貌，保留如砖石结构、建筑轮廓等经典元素，又巧妙融入现代设计笔触，如简洁线条、通透玻璃幕，实现时空对话与新旧平衡，为城市天际添一抹优雅景致，成区域蜕变的活力引擎。
Stepping into the room, the design concept of "duality" runs through the whole process. Traditional and modern elements collide and blend, and ingenuity is evident from color matching, material selection to furniture furnishings. Warm brown solid wood floors are matched with cool metal lamps, classical carved door frames and simple solid-color walls are charming, and calm tones and bright colors are complementary. Between the tension of inheritance and innovation, a diverse, inclusive, vibrant and quiet atmosphere is created to meet the diverse aesthetics of students and parents and create a visual feast.
步入室内，“对偶性” 设计理念贯穿始终。传统与现代元素碰撞交融，从色彩搭配、材质选取到家具陈设皆见巧思。暖棕实木地板搭配冷感金属灯具，古典雕花门框与简约纯色墙面共绽魅力，沉稳色调与明亮色彩跳脱互补，于传承与创新张力间，营多元包容、活力静谧兼容氛围，满足学子与家长多元审美，构筑视觉盛宴。
"Immersion" is the core of the space. The "frame-in-frame" structure is exquisite, with glass bricks, 4x4 tiles, and metal grids repeatedly laid out, and light and shadow swaying and shuttling, weaving a dreamlike scene between buildings, furniture, and objects. In public areas such as the lobby and study, the materials and forms continue to echo each other, the scenery changes with every step, and the space boundaries are blurred and melted. Students are immersed in the interweaving of function and aesthetics, exploring the source of inspiration and unlocking the poetry of life.
“沉浸感” 是空间灵魂核心。“框中框” 架构精妙，玻璃砖、 4x4 瓷砖、金属网格重复铺陈，光影摇曳穿梭，于建筑、家具、器物间编织梦幻情境。公共区域如大堂、书房，材质与形式延续呼应，步移景异、层层嵌套，空间界限模糊消融，学子沉浸于功能与美学交织之境，探索灵感源泉，解锁生活诗意。
"Modularity" gives the space a flexible and changeable quality. The multifunctional area can be flexibly switched according to the needs of learning and leisure, and the furniture can be disassembled and assembled, and the variable layout system can be changed at will. When you are alone, the corner turns into a quiet study room; on a group gathering day, the space is expanded into a social living room, the sofa is moved, and the tables and chairs are reorganized to meet the diverse demands of individual private concentration and group interaction and collaboration, becoming a stage for creative social interaction and personality growth.
“模块化” 赋予空间灵动百变特质。多功能区域依学习、休闲需求灵活切换，可拆组家具、可变布局系统随心而变。个人独处时，角落变身静谧书房；集体欢聚日，空间拓展为社交客厅，沙发挪移、桌椅重组，满足个体私密专注与群体互动协作多样诉求，成创意社交与个性成长舞台。
"Urbanism" condenses the essence of Montreal city in color. Brick red, dark gray, dark green, warm orange, light salmon, and soft cream tones pay tribute to Milton-Parc's architecture, streets, Mount Royal's four seasons and food culture. The interweaving of colors is like a vivid sonata of the city's hustle and bustle and tranquility, vitality and mellowness. Students living here feel as if they are in the embrace of the city, feeling its breathing rhythm and cultivating a sense of belonging to their home.
“都市性” 凝萃蒙特利尔城市精魂于色彩。砖红、深灰、墨绿、暖橙、淡鲑、柔奶油色调，致敬 Milton-Parc 建筑、街道、皇家山四季风光及美食文化。色彩交织，恰似城市喧嚣与宁静、活力与醇厚的生动奏鸣，学子居于此，仿若置身城市怀抱，感其呼吸韵律，育家园归属情怀。
The public space is meticulously planned and well thought out. The first floor combines the tranquility of the garden with the intellectuality of the library. The lobby is full of green plants, bookshelves, and sofas to promote communication and interaction, opening the door to academic social interaction. The garden floor has comprehensive service facilities, a large table in the study room for sharing and collaboration, and a multi-functional room that can be transformed into a gallery, meditation room, or recreational fitness area according to the season and interest. The multimedia cabin is colorful and dazzling, recording creativity and turning it into a private study corner. The large kitchen table brings together friendships, and gourmet socializing warms up community emotions.
公共空间规划细腻入微，关怀备至。首层融合花园宁静与图书馆知性，大堂绿植盎然、书架林立，沙发围合促交流互动，开启学术社交大门。花园层服务设施周全，书房大桌共享协作，多功能室依季依趣变身画廊、冥想室或游乐健身区，多媒体舱多彩炫丽，记录创意、化为私密研习角落，厨房大桌凝聚情谊，美食社交升温社区情感。
The logo and brand image are exquisitely designed by Sid Lee's team, with bright and vivid navigation and lively nested elements as the finishing touch. The logo, space and story work together to highlight each other. From the logo shape and color expression to the font creativity, inheritance and innovation are intertwined to become the unique cultural symbol of the apartment, extending to the photography style and cultural and creative peripherals, shaping the exclusive charm of Le Within in all aspects, allowing students to appreciate the cultural heritage and bask in the brilliance of creativity in the details of life.
