主讲人简介:
丹尼·莱因伯格,于1976年在智利瓦尔帕莱索天主教大学获学士学位,于1982年在美国阿尔伯特·爱因斯坦医学院获得博士学位,先后在阿尔伯特·爱因斯坦医学院和伯克利做博士后研究。1986年至2006年,他任新泽西医学和牙科大学罗伯特·伍德·约翰逊医学院的生物化学系助理教授、副教授、教授。1994年至2022年,他任新泽西州霍华德·休斯医学研究所研究员。2023年至今,他任迈阿密大学米勒医学院人类遗传学系杰出教授。丹尼·莱因伯格是表观遗传学和染色质生物学的领导者,他的研究对哺乳动物转录、基因表达和表观遗传学领域做出了重要贡献。他的团队专注于基因抑制的分子基础,以分子方式了解不同细胞谱系的产生。目前,他的团队正在研究被抑制基因细胞区室化的潜在机制,以及三维结构是如何衍生和维持的。丹尼·莱因伯格 2012年当选美国艺术与科学院院士,2015年当选美国科学促进会会士,同年当选美国科学院院士,2020年当选美国科学家荣誉学会(Sigma Xi)会员。
Brief Introduction of Professor Danny Reinberg:
Danny Reinberg received his undergraduate degree from the Catholic University of Valparaiso, Chile, in 1976, his M.D. from Albert Einstein Medical School in the United States in 1982, and did postdoctoral research at Albert Einstein Medical College and Berkeley. From 1986 to 2006, he was Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey. From 1994 to 2022, he was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator in New Jersey. Since 2023, he has been a distinguished Professor in the Department of Human Genetics at the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. Danny Reinberg is a leader in the field of epigenetics and chromatin biology, and his research has made important contributions to the fields of mammalian transcription, gene expression and epigenetics. His team focuses on the molecular basis of gene silencing and understands the production of different cell lines at the molecular level. Currently, his team is investigating the potential mechanism of compartmentalisation of silenced cells and how the three-dimensional structure is derived and maintained. Danny Reinberg was elected a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2012, a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2015, a member of the American Academy of Sciences in the same year, and a member of the American Society of Honorary Scientists (Sigma Xi) in 2020.
