Journal of Pacific Rim Psychology(中译名《环太平洋心理学期刊》)是北京师范大学心理学部全资拥有并主办的国际期刊,是中国心理学界第一本SSCI收录学术期刊。期刊致力于为环太平洋地区乃至全球提供一个及时传播研究成果的学术平台,进而推动心理学的的发展。期刊现任主编为香港中文大学的康萤仪教授和北京师范大学的刘力教授。根据科睿唯安发布的2023年度期刊引证报告(JCR),期刊最新影响因子为2.8,在全球218种心理学/综合期刊中排名第49,位列Q1区。

成长思维(又名增长观;Growth Mindset),是一种相信属性或特征可以发展的信念,与固态思维(或实体观:认为特征固定不变的信念;Fixed Mindset)相对。大量研究表明,成长思维对个体的自我评价、任务参与度、任务表现、成就以及心理健康具有积极影响(Dweck, 1999)。这些益处在学术成就、创造力、人际关系、领导力等多个心理学领域都有所体现。成长思维干预的积极效果,如提高心理健康和学术表现,也得到了广泛报道(Yeager et al.,2019)。
然而,2018年国际学生评估项目(PISA-2018)的研究结果显示,成长思维在中国社会中并不普遍,甚至可能与中国民众的心理健康和成就无关。具体而言,在中国的一些地区(如北京、香港、江苏、澳门、上海和浙江),表现出成长思维的学生比例低于美国和欧洲。在中国学生中,成长思维与学业表现的正相关相对较弱,与对失败的恐惧的负相关性也更弱(OECD,2018)。这些发现引出了3个关键问题。
相比美国人和欧洲人,成长思维在中国人中是否不那么普遍?
在中国社会中,成长思维对于人类的表现和心理健康的影响是否不如在美国和欧洲社会中那么重要?
在中国社会中,成长思维干预的有效性是否可以提升,如果可以,又该如何实现?
近期,Journal of Pacific Rim Psychology上线了名为“Growth Mindset in Chinese Societies”的特刊,旨在回应以上这些问题。该特刊由香港中文大学Chi-yue Chiu教授、Hiu-Sze Chan博士、 Sau-Lai Lee博士,英国雷丁大学Yuk-yue Tong教授以及清华大学黄臻博士共同主编。特刊包含13篇文章:
