Nurse: Hello, Mr Jones. Your oxygen levels are a bit low.
Mr. Jones: What do you mean?
Nurse: I just checked your oxygen saturation levels.
Mr. Jones: I'm sorry but I still don't understand.
Nurse: Your oxygen saturation level is the amount of oxygen in your blood.
Mr. Jones: Oh, I see. What do you have to do now?
Nurse: I'm going to give you some oxygen. It will help you breathe easier.
Mr. Jones: OK, thank you.
Nurse: I'm going to put these small tubes in your nostrils first.
Mr. Jones: All right.
Nurse: I'll put the oxygen tubing behind your ears. It will be more comfortable for you.
Mr. Jones: How does it work?
Nurse: Lets you breathe a small amount of oxygen through your nose.
Mr. Jones: I see. I'm going to check your oxygen sats. again. I'll just put the sats. probe on your finger.
Mr. Jones: OK.
Nurse: That's much better. Your saturation level is 97% now.
Mr. Jones: Oh good. How long do I have to have oxygen for?
Nurse: You need to have oxygen for half an hour. I'll check your oxygen sats. after that.
Mr. Jones: All right. Thanks, nurse.
