Highlight: Tiger Leaping Gorge Hike

Today, we will go to Tiger Leaping Gorge. Unlike most tourists, we will hike our way through the upper Gorge and discover the views of the canyon, waterfalls & bridges as well as rice terraces.

We will hike our way through from the upper Tiger Leaping Gorge, stopping by the way for lunch and a short rest. We might also come across the local indigenous people the Naxi Family.

We will then end the day at the Tiger Leaping Gorge Guesthouse with a great view of the Canyon where we will spend the night.

⛰ Altitude: 2300m - 1800m - 2600m (Lijiang - Tiger Leaping Gorge - Guesthouse)

Highlight: Tiger Leaping Gorge Hike

From Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge, we will continue hiking (downhill mainly) to reach the Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge with the view of waterfalls and canyons on the way. When reached the gorge, you can witness how strong and powerful the river stream is, and of course it's time to take many photos here before leaving!

After finishing today's trekking, we will drive to Fei Lai Temple where we will spend the night. If time allows, we can also admire the sunset on Meili Snow Mountain.

Tiger Leaping Gorge to Feilai Temple)

Highlight: Sunrice on Meili Snow Mountain, Yubeng Village

Watch the sunrise over Meili Mountain 13 peaks. After that, we will take the bus following the Lancang river & reach Xidang Village, start our hike to Yubeng Village which means The Lost World in the Tibetan language.

We will hike up to the highest peak and then hike down to Yubeng Village's guesthouse where we will stay for the next two days.

16km, ~5hrs

⛰ Altitude: 3700m - 2550m - 3700m - 3100m (Feilai Temple - Xidang Village - Nanzongkou - Yubeng Village)

Highlight: Sunrise of Mt. Kawagebo Glacier, Sacred Waterfall or Icelake

Enjoy the sunrise of the Mt. Kawagebo Glacier from the guesthouse.

Then there are 3 choices to choose from:

Team A: Hike to the “Sacred Waterfall”.  Local Tibetans believe the waterfall is made of God's tears. That's why they worship it.

🥾 Hiking: relatively easy trail (~13km, ~5hrs, 3800m)

Team B: Hike to the “Ice Lake” and then hike back to the Yubeng guesthouse.

🥾 Hiking: longer trail (~7hrs, 3900m)

Team C: You can choose to chill and relax at the Guesthouse.

Highlight: Ninong Grand Canyon, Shangrila

In the morning, we will follow Ninong Canyon down to the Lancang River and hike to Ninong Village where we will see some of the most stunning views and thrilling trails of the area.

Then, drive to Shangrila. 

Tonight, we have a special surprise for you! Let's enjoy a Tibetan dinner with dance, join in the bonfire party. 🎉

Highlight: Back to Lijiang

Today will be the last day of our Adventure. Leaving early and drive back to Lijiang.

- Between booking and 14 days prior to departure: 300rmb

- Between 14 and 5 days prior to departure: 2000rmb

- Between 4 and 1 days prior to departure: 50% of the price

- On departure day or no-show: 100% of the price

Cancellation Policy 

If the weather is really bad and represents a risk for people's safety, or there is any government restriction, we could cancel the trip up to 1 day in advance. The deposit would be fully refunded. Note that we are NOT responsible for flight cancellation fees. This would need to be dealt with the airline company directly. 

All forms of outdoor recreation (including hiking) have a higher level of risk than most ordinary activities.
