前言
子曰：“七十而从心所欲不逾矩”。
张鉴瑞先生的首次油画个展终于要开幕了。此前，我们这些他的拥趸多次说起要办一个展览，都被他婉拒。直到今年年初，他筹划出版一本油画作品集，于是个展事宜再次被提上日程。今天，“自在的风景——张鉴瑞油画展”终于在江西师范大学美术馆呈现在大家面前。作为江西师大美术馆的首任馆长，张鉴瑞在他退休十年后回到自己开创的美术馆，举办这样一个展览，无疑是具有多重意义的。
自1975年来到江西师大学习，随后留校任教直至退休，张鉴瑞伴随美术学院经历了近半个世纪的风风雨雨。毫不夸张地说，在这里他把充沛的精力和饱满的才情奉献给了他所热爱的教育事业和艺术理想。
今天，我们得以在此欣赏“自在的风景——张鉴瑞油画展”，这些作品将带领我们走进张鉴瑞多彩的艺术世界，感受他笔下风景的自在与灵动，领略他独具魅力的艺术格调。是的，格调——这似乎是张鉴瑞那些精美的油画作品中最为宝贵的品质。如封治国所言：在他看来，格调即人，格调即艺术的一切，格调与题材无关，与技巧无关，与风格无关，它最终指向的是作为艺术家个体的修为与境界。
当下在展厅中的这些油画作品，为我们展示了“格调”这种如今的稀有物品在最小的单位面积内所能饱有的最大浓度。

Confucius once said, "At seventy, I could follow what my heart desired without transgressing what was right."
We are delighted to announce the grand opening of Mr. Zhang Jianrui's first solo oil painting exhibition. For many years, his admirers have urged him to hold such an exhibition, but he consistently declined. It wasn't until early this year, when he began planning to publish a collection of his oil paintings, that the idea of a solo exhibition resurfaced.Today, "The Free Landscape: A Solo Exhibition of Oil Paintings by Zhang Jianrui" is finally unveiled at the Jiangxi Normal University Art Museum. As the museum's inaugural director, Zhang Jianrui's decision to hold an exhibition here,ten years after his retirement ,is undoubtedly significant in many ways.
Since arriving at Jiangxi Normal University in 1975 and teaching there until his retirement, Zhang Jianrui has witnessed nearly half a century of the School of Fine Arts evolution. It is no exaggeration to say that he has devoted his abundant energy and talents to the educational cause and artistic ideals that he loves so deeply.
Today, as we admire "The Free Landscape: A Solo Exhibition of Oil Paintings by Zhang Jianrui," these works will lead us into Zhang Jianrui's colorful artistic world, allowing us to experience the freedom and vitality of the landscapes he portrays and to appreciate his unique artistic style. Indeed, style—this seems to be the most precious quality in Zhang Jianrui's exquisite oil paintings. As Feng Zhiguo has said, in his view, style is the person;style is everything in art. Style has nothing to do with subject matter or technique but ultimately reflects the cultivation and realm of the artist as an individual.
The oil paintings on display in the gallery today demonstrate the maximum concentration of "style," such a rare commodity nowadays, in the smallest area unit.

后记
这里展出的画作是我多年来户外写生的作品，大多都在尺幅之间。
康德认为，客观世界是独立于人类意识存在的，即使我们没有感知到，世界依然按照“自在”的规律运行。当然，它更多的被理解成顺应自然，从心所欲的状态。我的这些画作完全是为了自己内心的一份快乐独存，乐此不疲的画了多年，串起来就成为个体化的图像叙事——凭借生活周边平凡的山水草木，光影晨夕景致，以猪鬃笔和绵密的油料笔触在画布上，对眼前所见的色彩、光线做“非照相般”、“非数字化”的记录，体现它的“自在”感。
这些画法虽然旧式老套，但我坚信，以对印象派色彩的追求，又以一个有经验的书写者身份进入其中，或许能为画作增加了几许现、当代的气息。趁《自在的风景》发行之际，在江西师范大学美术馆展出我的画作，也让我感到特别的松弛愉悦，欢迎大家的指正。

Afterword
The paintings exhibited here are the results of my many years of plein-air sketching, most of which are modest in size.
Kant argued that the objective world exists independently of human consciousness. Even if we don't perceive it, the world continues to operate according to its "noumenal" laws. Of course, this is more often understood as following nature and doing whatever one pleases. These paintings of mine exist solely for my own inner joy. I have been painting them tirelessly for many years, and together they form a personalized visual narrative. Using a bristle brush and dense oil paint on canvas, I make "non-photographic," "non-digital" records of the colors and light I see in the ordinary mountains, rivers, plants, and trees around me, and the changing scenes of morning and evening, capturing their "noumenal" quality.
Although these painting techniques may seem old-fashioned, I firmly believe that by pursuing the colors of Impressionism and entering this world as an experienced writer, I have perhaps added a touch of contemporary atmosphere to my work. As the book "The Free Landscape" is published, I am particularly relaxed and delighted to exhibit my paintings at the Jiangxi Normal University Art Museum. I welcome your comments and suggestions.

张鉴瑞 ，1954年生，江西鄱阳人。1977年毕业于江西师范学院艺术系，同年留校任教，曾师从留苏油画家徐明华教授学习油画。为江西师范大学美术学院教授，担任油画教学与创作数十年，2014年退休。
