Climate Change and Green Transition: The Role of Heterogenous Agents and Nonlinear Economic Dynamics
The MDEF 2024 (Modelli Dinamici in Economia e Finanza) conference offers a platform for interdisciplinary exchange amongst researchers in economics and mathematics, focusing on economic dynamics from various perspectives and addressing a wide range of economic issues. Recently, there has been increasing emphasis on the interaction between economic and environmental dynamics – due to climate change and demographic-economic-environmental transitions. These topics are significant and are pinpointed by scholars, politicians, and governments around the world.

Special issue information:
This special issue aims to consider problems related to environmental dynamics and green transition in theoretical economic models (at both micro and macro levels), focusing especially on nonlinear relationships and heterogeneous agents.
We invite submissions that explore theoretical issues in these contexts, including but not limited to the following topics:
Nonlinear interactions between economic and environmental dynamics
Game theoretic approaches to environmental issues
Economic growth, development and the environment
Interactions amongst environmental concerns and related policy interventions
Climate change
Green technology adoption
Environmental issues and heterogeneous agents in neoclassical and evolutionary models
Eligibility
The call is open to both contributors who presented their work at MDEF 2024 and external scholars.
Manuscript submission information:
Papers should be submitted online via https://www.editorialmanager.com/eneeco/.
