Dr. Johann Feckl, Director of Pre-Competitive Research and International Affairs at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, will offer insights into how technological innovations are driving the transition towards sustainable and circular economies. His keynote will address pressing questions such as:

Dr. Feckl’s extensive experience in shaping global research strategies and spearheading innovative R&D programs positions him as a leading figure in the discourse on sustainable technological integration.
Dr. Johann Feckl
Born in Landshut, Germany, Dr. Johann Feckl pursued his studies in chemistry and biochemistry at Ludwig Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich, where he completed his doctorate in physical chemistry with distinction. Since joining the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in 2015, Dr. Feckl has held various leadership positions. Currently, as Director of Pre-Competitive Research and International Affairs, he is responsible for advancing Fraunhofer’s global strategy, overseeing internal research programs, and managing the organization’s international operations. His leadership extends to chairing the Board of Directors at Fraunhofer Chile and serving as President of the Board of Trustees at Fraunhofer Spain Research Foundation. Dr. Feckl’s work continuously pushes the boundaries of innovation, making him an authoritative voice in bioeconomy and sustainable technological advancement.

Dr. Mosha Zhao
Dr. Mosha Zhao is an assistant professor in the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at Tongji University and is rewarded as the Bai Yu Lan Pujiang Talent by the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality. She is also the secretary of the Technology Innovation Center for Cultural Heritage Conservation and Regeneration of National Territory Space of the Chinese Ministry of National Resources.
Dr. Zhao obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in environmental engineering and energy-efficient and sustainable construction from the Technical University of Munich. She holds a PhD in Building Physics from the University of Stuttgart. Dr. Zhao worked as a research associate in the Department of Hygrothermics at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics and the Institute for Acoustics and Building Physics at the University of Stuttgart.
Her research focuses on the adaptive use, hygrothermal performance, and energy conservation of heritage buildings. Dr. Zhao participates in several national and provincial research projects and promotes Sino-German scientific exchange and collaboration.
