      太极拳或太极门拳是中国武术的一种形式，最初是为了战斗，然而它已经发展到吸引更广泛的受众，所有年龄段的人都在练习，并且对体力没有要求，无论年龄大小都可以获得身体健康和内心平静的好处。缓慢的动作有助于促进平衡(控制体重到任何理想程度的能力)，排除自己思想上的压力，通过长时间的深呼吸滋养内脏器官，轻轻地伸展整个身体。外观看起来像一个缓慢、丝绸般流畅的舞蹈，练习者沉浸在自己的动作中，忽略外界的影响，专注于自己而不是思考着动作。

     太极拳或太极门拳(或只是简单的太极)是一种思考形式，太极拳是中 国文化中最受欢迎的艺术之一，任何人都可以很容易地学习到一个   基本的标准，不只属于中国，而是属于世界各地。

Tai chi chuan or Tai gate kuen 太極拳 (or just simply tai chi) is a form of Chinese martial art and was originally intended for combat. However, it has evolved to appeal to a wider audience and is practised by people of all ages without the need of being physically fit in the first place. The art can harness the benefit of health and calmness within oneself regardless of age. The slow movements help to promote balance (i.e., the ability to manipulate one’s body weight to any desired position), empty one’s mind from stress, nourish the internal organs by long deep breaths and gently stretching the entire body. The appearance looks like a slow, smooth (silk-like) dance, with the practitioner immersing oneself in the movements, ignoring outside influences, concentrating on one’s own work but NOT thinking about it.

Tai chi is one of the most popular arts within the Chinese culture and one that can be easily learnt by anyone to a basic standard and should not belong exclusively to those of Chinese origin but to the rest of the world.

      中国舞狮(南方)是中国传统舞蹈的一种，在其他亚洲国家的文化中，表演者穿着狮子服装模仿狮子的动作，以带来好运和财富。舞狮通常在中国 新年和其他传统文化和宗教节日期间表演。它也可以在重要的场合表演 , 如开业活动，特殊的庆祝活动或婚礼仪式，或者可以用来招待中国社区的特殊嘉宾。

      一般来说，舞狮在体力上有要求，但是通过整体团队共同努力，可以获得成就感，使每一场表演都发挥出最好的效果。练习舞狮可以让身体变得更强，更快更敏捷，以及锻炼良好的团队合作精神。此外，也是在帮助继承和弘扬中国文化，这是一件值得骄傲的事情。中国舞狮的作用之 一，尤其是南方风格， 可以活跃庆祝事件的整体气氛!鼓声再加上铙钹和锣，相当热闹喜气。

Chinese Lion Dance (Southern) is a form of traditional dance in Chinese Culture and other Asian countries in which performers mimic a lion’s movements in a lion costume to bring good luck and fortune. The lion dance is usually performed during the Chinese New Year and other traditional, cultural and religious festivals. It may also be performed at important occasions such as business opening events, special celebrations or wedding ceremonies, or may be used to honour special guests by the Chinese communities.

Generally, it is physically demanding, but also quite satisfying when the whole team works together to bring out the best of each performance. In terms of benefits, the practitioners become stronger, more agile, faster and have a good team spirit cooperation. In addition, you are helping this Chinese Culture continue to thrive and that is quite a proud thing to do. One of the side effects of Chinese lion dance, in particular, the Southern style can liven up the whole atmosphere of any event! The drumming alone, together with cymbals and gong can be quite mesmerising and additive!

                   授课老师：Damien

      Damien是拥有英格兰羽毛球总会认证资格的羽毛球二级教练。他迄今为止已经代表剑桥郡出席郡际比赛长达十多余年，期间更任队长一职。他还在国家级比赛中多次取得良好成绩。在过去几年间，Damien会协助训练剑桥郡少儿羽毛球俱乐部，有着丰富的教学经验。

Damien is a Badminton England Level 2 qualified coach who has played and represented senior level for Cambridgeshire County for more than a decade.

He has been involved in a number of the county teams, as a captain and player, with several years of competing on the national circuit and currently still enjoying the County Championships and local senior club league badminton. He has also assisted training the Cambridgeshire juniors.

Learn proper technique, footwork and key shots through drills and routines to enjay,play with friends and improve your game.
