We are looking for a motivated PhD level graduate in biotechnology, synthetic biology or chemistry with a strong interest in improving the sustainability of current manufacturing processes through interdisciplinary and collaborative working.
The Opportunity:
The successful applicant will conduct experimental work on microbial nanoparticle synthesis and metal biorecovery from waste streams.
The project will seek to establish the breadth of opportunity presented by these bioprocesses for the recovery of technology critical metals.
Your skills and attributes for success:
PhD (or to be completed within 3 months) in biotechnology, synthetic biology or a related discipline
Experience in microbiology, molecular biology and metal nanoparticle biosynthesis
Expertise in relevant analytical techniques and methods
Effective data trending, document control, and technical bench skills
