About the Event
Join us for an exclusive startup event and networking evening designed to connect you with the local startup ecosystem, but also inspire you and help you navigate the complexities of scaling startups in China and Asia. This event is tailored for startup enthusiasts, founders, CXOs, investors, and professionals from the local and global startup ecosystem.
Keynote Speeches
Four dynamic keynote speeches, each 8 minutes long, focusing on innovation or trend-related topics. These are serial entrepreneurs, VCs, or other key figures of the local and global innovation ecosystem.
Startup Pitches
Six local startups will each have 5 minutes to pitch their projects to the audience.
The startups will compete for the "Startup with Flair" award, with the three winners receiving a cash prize of 300, 200, and 100 RMB for the first, second, and third prizes.
There will be no judging panel; the audience will vote for the winners through a 10-minute voting session after all pitches.
Networking Session
Network with entrepreneurs, investors, and key figures in the startup community.
The evening will conclude with a networking session featuring free-flowing beer, soft drinks, and pizza.
This will provide ample opportunity for attendees to connect, share ideas, and discuss potential collaborations.

Chin Yung (CY) Lu
Senior Vice President, Startups
Invest Hong Kong
Chin Yung (CY) Lu is a distinguished leader in the startup ecosystem of Hong Kong. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of StartmeupHK under Invest Hong Kong, CY has extensive experience in supporting entrepreneurs, SMEs, and multinationals in establishing and expanding their businesses in Hong Kong. His expertise spans blockchain applications, market research, and international business development, complemented by his multilingual capabilities in English, Japanese, Cantonese, German, and Mandarin. CY holds an MBA from the International University of Japan and the University of Washington, along with a Master's in Telecommunications from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Xiaolei Duan
General Manager, Global Startup Ecosystem - Huawei Cloud
Xiaolei has 20 years of experience in high-tech industries, impact investing, and policy-making at national and international levels.
At Huawei Cloud, she has been dedicated to building a global ecosystem, enabling startups worldwide to innovate and grow. Before joining Huawei, she worked for AWS for years and managed two tech startups as the CEO.
Prior to joining the private sector, Xiaolei was an organizer of the 2008 Olympic Games and 2007 Special Olympics and worked at the World Bank in Washington, D.C., and Phoenix TV in Hong Kong.
She holds advanced degrees from Stanford Graduate School of Business, Duke University, and Tsinghua University. She received a full graduate scholarship from the World Bank and was selected as the Young Global Leader by the Council for the US and Italy in 2017.
Liu Cheng
VC
Mr. Liu Cheng is a seasoned venture capitalist, with over a decade of experience in electronic engineering and cloud computing. He works at a top VC firm with a fund of over 3 billion RMB and 1 billion USD with a focus on TMT and consumption industries.
His portfolio includes Hello Bike (one of the top bicycle-sharing companies), PingCAP (the highest-valued distributed transactional database company globally), Infrawaves (a leading provider of LLMs infrastructure), etc.
Mr. Liu earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electronic Engineering from Peking University. He also holds dual Master of Finance and Business Administration (FMBA) degrees from Tsinghua University and Cornell University.
Marcel Achnitz
Vice President and Member of the Management Board of P3 China
Marcel Achnitz is the Vice President and Member of the Management Board of P3 China. P3 is one of the world's leading consulting companies in the automotive industry. He has been living in China for 5 years and is focused on the organization and technical realization of software-defined vehicles. The deployment of a cloud backend for the R&D activities of an international OEM or the agile transformation of a Chinese technology player is a project reference within the last 5 years.

Jelte Ansgar Wingender
CEO Founders Lair & China Country Partner Beijing for German Accelerator
Jelte is the CEO and Co-founder of Founders Lair, a technology platform that supports over 20,000 startups from more than 130 countries worldwide with access to global resources like acceleration programs, investment opportunities, corporate POCs, and startup competitions.
Jelte is also the China Country Partner in Beijing for German Accelerator, where he spearheaded operations to bring German scale-up startups to China. Before this, Jelte was the APAC and China Director of Startup Grind, the largest independent startup community organization in the world. He was also the first foreign employee at the Chinese state-owned enterprise Innoway, where he developed the corporate innovation arm.
