Programme Assistant (Chinese Nationals Only)
Qualifications
Education and certification:
Completion of secondary education is required
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, international development, international relations, accounting, economics, international development, public administration, public policy, or other relevant social science field is desirable
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in administrative or programme coordination roles, preferably within international organizations or multilateral cooperation programmes
Proficiency in programme support functions, including event coordination, stakeholder liaison, and logistics management is required
Experience in budget preparation, financial reporting, and procurement processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies is required
Familiarity with programme planning, monitoring, and reporting, with the ability to draft reports using results-based language is an asset
Experience working closely with government bodies, financial institutions, research institutions, and private sector entities in China is desirable
Experience in data and document management, including handling correspondence, reports, and maintaining organized records and workflows is desirable
Experience working on gender equality and women’s empowerment is desirable is desirable
Experience within the United Nations system or similar international organization or multilateral cooperation programmes is desirable
Language Requirements:
Fluency in English and Chinese is required, which includes excellent written skills (including reporting skills) and other communication skills
Working knowledge of the other UN official working language is an asset
