招募青年编委 | Call for Young Editorial Board

We are thrilled to announce the establishment of a new scholarly journal, Urban Informatics, dedicated to introducing cutting-edge researches that leverage emerging technologies and data in the context of urban environments, tackling the relationships among people, place and technologies in cities, and advancing the science of cities. This journal will focus on theories, technologies, and models for urban research to provide solutions to various urban problems. As part of our commitment to fostering innovation and supporting emerging talent, we are currently seeking applications for positions on the Young Editorial Board.
About Urban Informatics: Urban Informatics aims to provide a platform for cutting-edge research and thought leadership in urban informatics. Our mission is to publish high-quality, peer-reviewed articles that contribute to the academic discourse and shape the future of the field. The journal covers a broad spectrum of topics, including urban system, theories, methods, and technologies for urban big data acquisition, infrastructure and analytics, as well as new solutions to urban problems and applications.
Term of Reference

Role of Young Editorial Board Members: Members of the Young Editorial Board will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of the journal. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Peer review of submitted manuscripts.

  2. Special issues and submit/call for original high-quality papers.

  3. Promoting the Journal: Actively participating in promotional activities to increase the visibility and impact of the journal.

  4. Providing insights and suggestions for the development and improvement of the journal.

  5. Serving a two-year term with the potential for renewal.

Eligibility Criteria: We invite applications from early-career researchers and professionals who meet the following criteria:

  1. Hold a PhD degree in geomatics, urban study, information technology, or relevant fields.

  2. Demonstrate a strong interest in smart city, artificial intelligence, big data.

  3. Possess excellent written and communication skills.

  4. Have a commitment to uphold ethical standards in scholarly publishing.

Application Process: Interested individuals are invited to submit their applications by December 2024. Applications should include:

  1. A comprehensive CV highlighting academic and professional achievements.

  2. A cover letter or email expressing your interest in joining the Young Editorial Board and outlining your relevant experience.
