Lecture 1:Gravitational Waves: Unraveling the Mysteries of our Universe
Speaker: Professor Barry C. Barish, California Institute of Technology, USA
Professor Barry C.Barish was awarded the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) and the first direct detection of gravity waves.
Lecture 2: Neutrinos - key particles for understanding the smallest particles and
the largest Universe
Speaker: Professor Takaaki Kajita, University of Tokyo, Japan
Professor Takaaki Kajita was awarded the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics together with Arthur B. McDonald, for the discovery of neutrino oscillations, which shows that neutrinos have mass.
Lecture 3: Fifty Years since the November Revolution in Physics and Unearthing the Secrets of the Cosmos
Speaker: Professor Samuel C.C.Ting, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA
Professor Samuel C.C.Ting was awarded the 1976 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on discovering a new subatomic particle that he called the J-particle(now usually called the J/psi particle), the first of a new class of very massive, long-lived mesons.
