贵州第一枚金钉子

——剑河金钉子








贵州剑河乌溜阶“金钉子”是由贵州大学赵元龙教授率领的,由贵州大学、中国科学院南京地质古生物研究所、美国俄亥俄州立大学、中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所等8个单位专家参与的国际团队历经20余年研究完成的。

The "Golden Spike" at the Wuliu Stage in Jianhe, Guizhou Province, was completed after more than 20 years of research by an international team led by Professor Zhao Yuanlong from Guizhou University, with experts from eight institutions including Guizhou University, Nanjing Institute of Geology and Paleontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, The Ohio State University, and Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences.



2018年6月21日,国际地质科学联合会以全票通过的表决结果,批准把寒武系第三统和第五阶的全球标准层型剖面和点位建立在中国贵州剑河。这是世界的第69枚金钉子,我国所获得的第11枚金钉子,贵州的第一枚金钉子,这也结束了国际地层委员会寒武系分会对该“金钉子”的长达20余年的研究和选择。

On June 21, 2018, the International Union of Geological Sciences unanimously approved the establishment of the global stratotype section and point (GSSP) for the third series and fifth stage of the Cambrian System in Jianhe, Guizhou, China. This is the 69th Golden Spike in the world, the 11th Golden Spike obtained by China, and the first Golden Spike in Guizhou. It also concludes over 20 years of research and selection by the Cambrian Subcommission of the International Commission on Stratigraphy for this "Golden Spike."



金钉子核心区位于八郎坡后山到交榜一带,由交榜杷榔组剖面、松山清虚洞组剖面、乌溜-曾家后剖面、苗板坡剖面四个出露连续的地质剖面组成。这几个剖面属寒武系2统和3统。剖面上对应的杷榔动物群、剑河生物群、凯里生物群(含原来的台江生物群),三个世界级生物群,是研究和观察寒武纪2统和3统地球生命产生、爆发、演变、灭绝、复苏、再爆发的窗口。尤其是凯里生物群研究时间起步早、成果最丰、享誉世界。

The core area of the Golden Spike is located in the vicinity of Balangpo Rear Mountain to Jiaobang, consisting of four continuously exposed geological sections: the Jiaobang Palang Formation section, Songshan Qingxudong Formation section, Wuliu-Zengjiahou section, and Miaobanpo section. These sections belong to the second and third series of the Cambrian System. The corresponding Palang fauna, Jianhe fauna, and Kaili fauna (including the original Taijiang fauna) on these sections are three world-class biotas. They serve as windows for studying and observing the emergence, explosion, evolution, extinction, recovery, and re-explosion of life on Earth during the second and third series of the Cambrian System. In particular, research on the Kaili fauna started early, has produced the most abundant results, and is renowned worldwide.




这里有一段富有历史意义和地质价值的石梯小道,刘老师告诉我们,它是一套穿越的地层,旁边石头上的编号有负数和正数,负的数字越大,年代越老;负的数字越小,年代越年轻。我们每一个数字之间是以20公分为单位来做采集工作的,而这台阶对应的就是一个层,它的高度也是20公分。这20公分海底沉积需要的时间大约是8000到10000年,所以走一步就是跨越万年。刘老师微笑着伸出手做出一个请的手势:“走过天下的路,不如走八郎的这一步。来吧,咱们穿越5亿年。”

There is a stone staircase path here with historical and geological significance. Mr. Liu told us that it passes through different geological strata. The numbers on the stones beside it have both negative and positive values. The larger the negative number, the older the geological age; the smaller the negative number, the younger the geological age. We collect samples every 20 centimeters between each number, and each step on this staircase corresponds to a geological layer that is also 20 centimeters high. These 20 centimeters of seabed sediment took approximately 8,000 to 10,000 years to accumulate, so each step taken here spans ten thousand years. Mr. Liu smiled and beckoned with his hand, saying, "Walking all the roads in the world is not as good as taking one step in Balang. Come on, let's travel through 500 million years."






还有一个值得注意的地方是:美国专家印证剖面。这是因为美国内华达州克莱顿山脊斯谱利特山剖面也是金钉子的候选点之一。为了确保金钉子的科学性和准确性,2009年6月美国专家对我们的剖面进行了再次研究。刘老师也参与了此次采集工作,美国专家逐层采集化石标本,并亲自做记号结果和之前的研究成果结论一致,认为其符合“金钉子”的标准和要求,并给予了高度评价。

Another noteworthy aspect is the verification of the sections by American experts. This is because the Split Mountain section in Clayton Ridge, Nevada, USA, is also one of the candidate sites for a Golden Spike. To ensure the scientific accuracy of the Golden Spike, American experts conducted another study of our sections in June 2009. Mr. Liu also participated in this collection work. American experts collected fossil specimen layer by layer and personally made marks. The results were consistent with previous research findings, concluding that it met the standards and requirements of a "Golden Spike" and receiving high praise.





剑河金钉子的成功获得,不仅体现了我国在国际地层研究领域的地位和影响力不断提升,而且也展示了我国在古生物化石研究与保护方面取得的丰硕成果。我们驻足于此,也留连在时间的一眼万年里。我们感叹这片土地的伟大,因为这片土地习惯把秘密藏起来。让一代一代探索者汇集到这里,寻找这里的地质色彩。时间是浓重的,历史的形成是浓重的,剑河金钉子是贵州地质与历史浓墨重彩的一次落笔!

The successful acquisition of the Jianhe Golden Spike not only reflects China's rising status and influence in the field of international stratigraphy but also showcases China's fruitful achievements in the research and conservation of paleontology. As we stand here, we are also lost in the span of thousands of years. We marvel at the greatness of this land, for it has a habit of hiding its secrets, drawing generations of explorers to converge here to uncover its geological hues. Time is heavy, the formation of history is heavy, and the Jianhe Golden Spike marks a significant moment in the geological and historical narrative of Guizhou!
