The Taoyinling Ancient Trail stretches for about 4 kilometers, starting from Jinyu’ao in Pingshui Town to the north and ending in Xinlian Village in Wangtan Town to the south. Along the way, hikers can visit notable landmarks such as Taiping Bridge, Quanshuiling Temple, the "Sunset Over the Maple Forest" viewpoint, Lingshang Ancient Village, Rengong Fishing Rock, and Dawang Temple.Historically, this trail played a vital role as a key passage linking Shaoxing with Shengzhou and Xinchang, serving as a crucial route for villagers on both sides of the mountain. Over the centuries, it witnessed the footsteps of countless travelers and the ebb and flow of time. Today, the trail has been revitalized as a popular hiking route, attracting countless trekkers who follow its winding course to soak in the vibrant autumn scenery and the lush, scenic beauty of Xinlian Village. The stunning views draw large crowds of hiking enthusiasts, especially on weekends, when visitor numbers peak.
陶隐岭古道全长约4公里，北起平水镇的金渔岙，南止王坛镇的新联村，古道沿途有太平桥、泉水灵庙、枫林晚照、岭上人家、任公钓矶、大王庙等景点。陶隐岭古道自古就是绍兴通往嵊州、新昌等地的交通要道，为隔山两地的村民提供了交通便利，见证了无数人的往来和岁月的流转。现在，这条古朴的道路又被赋予了新的意义，成为了一条经典的徒步路线，无数驴友依山势而上感受浓厚的秋意和新联村的秀水青山。此番美景吸引了诸多登山爱好者前来，周末时节更是迎来出游高峰期。
Boosted by the "Green Rural Revival Program" and the "Five-Star 3A" initiative, Xinlian Village, home to Taoyinling Ancient Trail, has transformed from a once-unknown mountain village into a thriving and picturesque countryside destination. The village is actively working toward becoming a 3A-rated scenic village. "On weekends, we receive around 5,000 visitors who come to hike the trail and admire the maple leaves," said Dong Liang, Party Branch Secretary of Xinlian Village. "To manage the influx of visitors, we have made early preparations. Our 'Xinlian Red' Party member volunteers assist police with traffic flow and parking, maintain public sanitation, and ensure visitor safety — all to provide tourists with a smooth and enjoyable experience."
同时，乘着“千万工程”“五星3A”建设的东风，陶隐岭所在的新联村也从籍籍无名的小山村转变成为生机勃发的美丽乡村，努力打造成3A级景区村庄。“周末两天来村里走古道、赏枫叶的客流量在5000人次左右，为了应对游客高峰，我们也已经提前做好准备，组织村里的‘新联红’党员志愿者协助交警部门做好交通指挥、停车等工作，保障好景区里的环境卫生和游客安全，确保游客有一个良好的出游体验。”新联村党支部书记董良介绍说。
