The Department of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology is inviting you to our first 120th Anniversary Keynote Lecture on Thursday 28th November, on the theme of archaeological method and practice.

We are delighted to announce that the keynote will be given by Shahina Farid, on ‘Shifting Narratives in Archaeology: A Personal Perspective’.
Shahina Farid (Historic England) is Honorary Secretary for the Society of Antiquaries of London, Trustee for Museum of London Archaeology, and is best known for her pioneering work on archaeological method and practice at the Neolithic site of Çatalhöyük in Turkey.
The lecture is intended as a public engagement event, is free, and everyone is welcome. It will take place at 5 pm (for 5.15 pm) in the 502 Central Teaching Hub (Lecture Theatre 1) and will be followed by a drinks reception.
