Consul General Fang Xinwen Attends Various Chinese Community Events in the Consular District
Recently, Consul General Fang Xinwen attended several events in the consular district, including the 40th anniversary celebration of the Victorian Elderly Chinese Welfare Society, the 20th anniversary celebration of the Melbourne South Eastern Region Chinese Friendship Centre of Victoria, the 8th AZUAI Melbourne Cup International Racing Carnival hosted by the Australia Zhejiang United Association, and the 2024 Food & Wine Appreciation Dinner hosted by the Hong Kong Australia Business Association-Victoria Chapter.
Consul General Fang extended his warm congratulations on the successful organization of these events, gave a comprehensive introduction to China's economic development, reviewed the progress of bilateral relations and the achievements of the consular district's cooperation with China over the past 10 years since the establishment of China-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership. Consul General Fang expressed his hope that the local Chinese community would continue to leverage their unique position to actively inherit and carry forward Chinese traditional culture, promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and Australia, and push forward the healthy and stable development of China-Australia relations.
Consul General Fang also visited the Rathab Monastery and the Num Pon Soon Society.
